Re: 2019 Spanish Grand Prix Race Thread
If the Ferraris crash into each other the race might be more interesting.
Re: 2019 Spanish Grand Prix Race Thread
I'm dumbfounded why Vettel is not being let by given what happened earlier?

I think RB were expecting BOTH Ferraris to two stop, can SV get to the end I wonder?Zoue wrote:yeah me neither. He would have been better putting on a set of Mediums or Hards and cruising to the endpokerman wrote:I'm not sure of Verstappen's strategy?

I think Vettel is entitled to be a little irritated, tbh. He pulled over for Leclerc but Leclerc is defending strongly.mikeyg123 wrote:Vettel is on a 2 stop and Leclerc a 1. Why is Leclerc still ahead?

Right. This race has been appalling managed by Ferrari's management. LeClerc has been given an overtake on Vettel eariler in the race, so he can't exactly complain about being told to do the same.mikeyg123 wrote:Vettel is on a 2 stop and Leclerc a 1. Why is Leclerc still ahead?

Re: 2019 Spanish Grand Prix Race Thread
Nevermind the racing, Crofty's ridiculous suggestions is the most annoying part of F1 these days. Ban team orders. Get rid of blue flags. Both absurd ideas that are just as bad as the qualifying fiasco in Australia a few years ago. If you're going to suggest those ideas, at least give them some thought instead of giving a knee jerk reaction from something you don't like.

Re: 2019 Spanish Grand Prix Race Thread
Bottas wants to chase down Hamilton who is cruising but that would destroy Bottas' tyres and he would have to stop again, give it up Bottas you're not catching Hamilton.

Ferrari decision making is just awful. They take too long to make their calls.
Re: 2019 Spanish Grand Prix Race Thread
Whilst obviously not having the pace to race Mercedes.... just what the hell are Ferrari playing at today? It's gone past incompetence and well into the territory of farce.

Vettel pits, aaaand...now he has to pass Gasly.
Nothing works for Ferrari today.

Sad thing here is I was going to get tickets and go to the Canadian grand prix.
But if I'm going to nap I would rather do it for free at home.

Was thinking a safety car was the only reason they'd pit Bottas first and however unlikely that would happen it did! If they went with the norm Bottas would be leading.mikeyg123 wrote:Hamilton is so lucky![]()

It's absurd how long it takes the cars to bunch up behind the safety car.

Re: 2019 Spanish Grand Prix Race Thread
Ferrari's stupidity of not letting Vettel go comes back to bite them now as Vettel could have been back in third now with the safety car!

That's what I'm thinking, especially for Ham, he has lost all his lead.
