I know it's basically irrelevant because it isn't how the race ended but... I was curious how I would've scored had the race finished in the order it was running at the point of Max's tyre explosion. I make it 126 points with my original prediction and 128 (146 minus the FP2 penalty) with my amended predictions. So in that scenario I would've at least benefitted from the change. Not as bad as the damage that moment did in some of the other games (goodbye, perfect podium...) but a little extra salt in the wound all the same!

I went off the order at the end of the previous lap which was MV, SP, LH, SV, PG, CL, YS, LN, CS, DR. I've added the correct scores above in brackets. So a marginally better score, but the bigger unknown is how everyone else's scores would've changed and whether I would've finished any higher than I did in reality.

Either way, I think it's a reminder that the risk vs reward of an intentional penalty is very marginal, and even having a little more time to try and understand the pecking order doesn't really help if that order is heavily affected by DNFs!
