Another crazy Grand Prix ended with 8 retirements - all from different teams, so with only Mercedes doing what we expected it was another low-scoring close finish in Team Pick points. Everyone scooped 5 for Mercedes, but only Icemanjee1 and Exediron scored 3 with another team - Haas for both; giving them clear 1st and 2nd places. Otherwise it was single points all round with again 6 sharing the podium.

In the Championship Icemanjee1's 2nd successive win extends his lead to a solid-looking 10pts, Remmirath ties with Adro783 for 2nd, and Jenson's Understeer and Exediron move up the table.

A hectic first lap ruined everyones' predictions for Racing Point and Mclaren, and Leclerc's 6th place was also a surprise, so with lots of similar predictions the result was pretty close. Icemanjee1 shared a 3rd successive win with me, both of us getting 4 teams right. Next was Fountoukos13, with 3 right, along with Jenson's Understeer. Again everyone scored 5pts for Mercedes despite Hamilton's woes. Haas got both cars to the finish, depriving those who'd gone for an NF of 3pts for them. With only 2 NFs, both caused by accidents for top teams, this was a race where reliability was very high.

In the Championship Icemanjee1's 3rd successive win extends his lead to 14pts, which with only 7 rounds to go looks hard to beat. I just manage to leapfrog Adro783 and Remmirath into 2nd place and Fountoukos13 moves up to joint 7th.

Despite all the cars making it through the first corner unscathed Nurburgring produced another race of retirements. Only Ferrari and Racing Point came home with both cars matching any our predictions. Remmirath and PF-1 Mod shared the win - Remmirath being the only one to pick Red Bull for fastest lap. PF1-Mod omitted to include any prediction for Haas, but still shared 1st place by doing well elsewhere! Three of us tied for 3rd place with similar predictions. It was a low-scoring close finish all round though.

In the Championship Icemanjee1's lead shrinks by 2 to 12pts. Remmirath takes a clear 3rd place from Adro783, and Fountoukos13 moves clear in 7th.

That only accounts for 7 points, though. I wonder if this is like the quali prediction game where I've not won a round, but I'm above people because I've been consistently average rather than having a mix of really good and really bad weekends?

I think you're right. Consistency is the most important thing in these games. Avoiding bad results is probably more important than winning races.
