The legendary Silverstone circuit gave us quite the show this weekend race fans as we had action all over track. So much so that we need to get into it now.

At the front it was yet another silver arrow front row lock out but it wasn’t whom everyone expected to be on pole. As Bottas put together the better lap surpassing his championship rival Hamilton by just .006 of a second. Lining up behind them would be the young Ferrari sensation Charles Leclerc with his favorite rival Max Verstappen right along side. At lights out both mercs get off to a great start and bottas immediately covers Hamilton. Hamilton would quickly fill the Finns mirrors giving him numerous looks all over the track. It didn’t take long for Hamilton to go for the outside move on coming out of the Wellington straight then switching back on bottas heading into luffield passing him on the outside. But hold on, bottas tucks in behind Hamilton at woodCote getting a great tow and retakes the lead at copse!!!!

Things would cool down at the front but they would heat up between Redbull and Ferrari. Leclerc vs Verstappen and gasly vs Vettel. Yes that’s right GASLY over took Vettel on track, with a pretty good move I might add. Then it was the Leclerc & verstappen show for quite a few laps. The two took turns attacking and defending. The gloves were off and the action was fast-n- furious.

Then a safety car was deployed due to giovinazzi beaching his Alfa. Which resulted in a mad dash to the pits as Lewis Hamilton took full advantage of the free pit stop giving him the lead of the race. Things were now looking grim for bottas who was committed to a 2 stopper. Racing would resume with the Redbull and Ferrari continuing to battle it out. This time though it would be between verstappen and Vettel who came under pressure while running p3. Verstappen would challenge for the position on lap 38 overtaking Vettel on the hangar straight going into Stowe. Vettel would have none of it tucking right behind verstappen lining up a possible move going into club but disaster strikes with Vettel barreling into the back of verstappen dropping both cars down the grid. What a devastating blow to the late charging verstappen...

In the end Hamilton would go on to win his home race with another merc 1-2 and Leclerc finishes p3 after some very impressive driving........

In our race things were just as action packed with 5/7 entries nailing the perfect podium netting a 30pt bonus

Germany a circuit that brought heartache last year with a rain shower. Would this year be any different ?

NO! It wouldn’t, this race started out behind the safety car with 3 parade laps letting the drivers get a feel for the conditions and also allowing the cars to remove some of the water on track. That was about all the organization that took place here.

At lights out the mercs got off to a great start on the damp track as max verstappen got off to a poor getaway. But just like in Austria mad max would soon claw his way back up the ranks and was filling bottas mirrors with a charging bull. But a last his attempts Would be in vain as the grip just wasn’t quite there yet to execute such a move.

Magnessun would be the first brave sole to slap on some slicks. Triggering a domino effect down the paddock as Leclerc, verstappen and Lewis would follow suit. Here ladies & gents is where things get a bit slick as mad max went for a spin but remained undamaged, Leclerc would slide straight into a wall that he narrowly avoided 2xs before and Hamilton would hit the same wall breaking his front wing.

Everyone rushed back into the pits under the safety car and mad max would come out in the lead as Hamilton dropped to 5th after one of the worst rushed pit stops in merc history. The race would resume and more carnage would ensue as Hulkenberg crashed out with what was an amazing drive up to that point. Lewis would have another slide. Both haas cars would once again collide. Bottas would crash out. Gasly would rear end albon. The hits just kept on coming like a 80’s rock band but when the dust settled it was mad max verstappen whom took home the win, home town hero Sebastian Vettel would claim 2nd after starting p20 and the torpedo Danil kvyat would once again grace the podium. What a race...

In our race though it would be far less exciting as the lowest scores of the games history would be achieved. None the less we have 2 winners this round.

The Hungaroring, a very technical short circuit where agility and balance is king. Going into this race there was much speculation as to just how good Max Verstappen is compared to Lewis Hamilton. Well folks we were treated to quite the show.

Going into qualifying Max looked to be the clear favorite for pole but the margins were extremely close. It was the closest battle for pole we have had all season! In Q3 mad max was on rails looking exceptionally smooth all around the circuit. But to everyone’s surprise his nearest competitor wasn’t Lewis it was the Mercedes of Valtteri bottas who was giving max a run for his money. In the end max clinched his very first pole position by just .014 sec over bottas improving his provisional pole time.

On race day max was on pole with both mercs right behind him. At lights out all 3 get away clean with Hamilton taking a look on the outside of turn 1 but bottas would lock up and go deep forcing Hamilton wide. Side by side into turn 2 and bottas locking up again forcing Hamilton wide once more allowing max to start pulling away. Once Hamilton was clear of bottas and got in a rhythm he was challenging for the lead but max would pull off some great defense and keep the merc at bay.

Max would complain about grip levels but couldn’t pit until he cleared a gap ahead of the two Ferraris. Max would finally dive into the pits @ lap 25 for fresh hard tires. Lewis would stay out to try the over cut but a last, his tires weren’t up to the task to pull off such a strategy. Lewis would pit @ lap 31, and rejoin 5.8 seconds behind max. But in 3 laps time Hamilton was knocking on Max’s door once again with some blistering pace. Max would now come under serious pressure form Lewis as max was forced to pick up the pace. Lewis would follow max for 5 laps straight and take a look on the outside of turn 1. Side by side they would go heading into turn 2 with Lewis on the inside, Lewis drops back a bit tucking behind max for turn 3 getting a tow into turn 4 and around the outside goes Hamilton but the momentum would force him off track and couldn’t hold the position. Lewis would stay within 1.3 seconds of max for 10 laps and here is where things got interesting at lap 49 Mercedes pitted Lewis for fresh mediums.

The chase was now on as Lewis would have to claw back the 19 sec lead of max with 20 laps to go. On lap 60/70 the gap is 10.2 sec with Lewis now in clean air the gap was dropping at 1.3sec per lap! On lap 63 max has run out of tires and the gap is now 3.5 sec. On lap 67 Lewis would make the move on the outside of turn 1 taking the LEAD!!! And go on to win the Hungarian Grand Prix. WHAT A RACE!!! Can’t wait for the summer break to be over so we can see some more action......

Spa francorchamp an iconic circuit on the F1 calendar. Which kicks off the 2nd half of the season. Heading into spa the Ferrari straight line speed advantage was all the rave and in practice they showed everyone just how much pace they had. The boys in red lead every practice session and never looked back. But would this translate into a race win??

In qualifying it was the prancing horse of Charles Leclerc who was in a league of his own. Topping every single quali session and showing some blistering pace leaving Mercedes scratching their heads. Ferrari locked out the front row but the threat of the merc race pace was very real as the silver arrows looked to capitalize on Sunday.

At lights out both Ferrari and Mercedes got away clean. Hamilton would go down the inside and squeeze Vettel taking 2nd early. But it was very short lived as Vettel would regain the position down the straight and breeze by Hamilton. An early safety car was deployed when mad max would take himself out and crash into the iceman. Vettel was glued to Leclerc on the restart but a costly lock up at the bus stop chi-cane would thwart off any shot at a Ferrari battle for the lead and Leclerc would unleash the pace he had shown all weekend. The top 4 would all hold station up until the first round of pit stops when Ferrari blinked first calling in Sebastian Vettel as he was under serious threat from Hamilton. Vettel would go for the undercut and put down some serious laps. So much so that he gained the lead of the race when Leclerc came out behind him.

But once again the raw speed of Leclerc proved to be too much as he quickly caught up to Vettel and Ferrari wasted no time in making the call to switch positions. Vettel was already struggling with grip and it would t have taken long for Leclerc to get past regardless of the call. The real threat was now the mercedes race pace as Lewis Hamilton came alive on the medium tires. Catching up to Vettel but struggled to get past even with a 2.5sec/lap pace advantage. He eventually got past Vettel but it took 3 laps to do so buying Leclerc some time..

In the closing stages Hamilton was closing fast on Leclerc chopping down a 6sec gap down to 1 sec heading into the final lap. But a last, a last minute yellow flag would deny any attempt that could have been. But a Ferrari win was not to be denied today as Charles Leclerc would secure his maiden win...
