I've double checked the scores at Herb's request. It seems last race I made a mess of, hence somehow the scores have dropped by 400 points [200, correcting for the transfer points which weren't included in Baku's scores]. My apologies for that.

Hmm. I'm not sure the difference between me and Herb are just 4 points from Baku. He has Mercedes in the team while I'm stuck with Ferrari . Shouldn't that mean he gets 187 points for Mercedes( 100 and 87) vs the 140 points for Ferrari(78 and 62) for me ? And the only other difference in our selection is Norris and Stroll , in which case again Norris scored 5 points more than Stroll in Baku , right?

This is... probably not correct. You were 149 behind him after China, and only scored 1 more point in Baku. My math is historically terrible but I'm pretty sure the championship standings are going to turn out to be incorrect!

I'd be interested, since I always like the team dynamic. I think we should also consider something to try to increase in-season participation, since it's still true that after about the fifth round nobody does much in the way of altering their slate.

Basically you get to nominate an extra driver/team (not sure of the details, I'd have to give that more thought) for a single race. I'm tempted to add a joker in the first 3 races, when the rest of the choices are locked in, and then 2 more before the summer break and 2 after. But that first sentence is the important bit for now.

To revisit the joker idea, what would people say to having to play one joker from each group [which I've currently drafted to 4 drivers and 3 teams) across the season? With each group given a specific window in which it must be played, to ensure people are actively playing through the year.

Current idea:

Original picks locked in for the first 3 rounds, then the usual 200 points to spend on tranfers for the year.

Driver Group 1's joker must be used between rounds 3 and 7
Driver Group 2's between 8 and 12
Driver Group 3, 13 to 17
Driver Group 4, 18 to 22

Team Group 1, 5-10
Team Group 2, 11-16
Team Group 3, 17-22

Ferrari's home race. Ferrari pretty much guaranteed dominance. How wrong we were! Mercedes, with a little more luck, could have swept to a 1-2.
