Sure have! I've taken at LEAST 79 penalty points this year from just having a quick flick through then. If I'd been paying more attention then I guess I'd expect to be sitting at around 2507 points and coming 4th... Damn work getting in the way of my fun and games!
Yeah work is just no fun at all. :( ;)

Just thinking aloud here. Could another solution to Blackhander (and other's) problem be to submit a standard top 10 for all races at the start of the season? And then make changes before each race weekend if you have time. Or do you feel that would be against the spirit of the competition, pokerman?

This is what banker predictions earlier in the week are for...
PICK 10 COMPETITION (6 wins, 18 podiums): 3rd in 2016
TOP THREE CHAMPIONSHIP (No Limit Excedrin Racing): Champions in 2015 & 2018 | 2nd in 2017 & 2019

Since the cut off time has been passed, Pokerman are you going to publish the secret picks. Or that's going to be secret until official results.

If you publish it now, it will take away all the suspense and the winner can be identified immediately after the race finish. But it make sure that there is a fairness and no rigging of results ;) What if someone approach you with a million dollars

Edit : oh wait, Qualifying start is the cut off, not end of FP3

It would be like people were not really taking part, you know there is nothing wrong with submitting an entry several days before FP1 as a banker if you like, even a week before, I'm sure people's lives can't really be that hectic?

I don't know anyone on this site and I'm not really sure what to make of your post it sort of questions my integrity?

As explained before there are 2 reasons for doing this, one is to stop any game playing so making it fair, the other like you say is to keep everyone in suspense waiting for the prize giving, if you know the result beforehand then it becomes somewhat of a damp squib.

The secret picks will be revealed after the prize giving.

Oh no, I was not questioning your integrity, that was not my intention at all. Please don't take it that way. I was trying to do a joke with that second part about rigging, but I am sure that didn't come across well. Apologies.
And really appreciate all the hard work you put into running this competition. Thanks for all work.
And BTW, Congratulations on the Hamilton WDC, I know you are an ardent fan of him.

And best of luck to all the front runners. And I agree, let the suspense be there till the official results.

I ask that the players with the secret picks do not reveal their score for Abu Dhabi otherwise it will ruin the prize giving somewhat, also in case of tied scores the tie break will be the player's highest scoring round.

Poker, is this applicable to the top 3 or top 20 or everyone?

As I posted just the players with the secret picks which covers the top 10, I know you like to post your score and that will be ok as you are not in the top 10. :)

YEEESSS!!! 2017 Pick 10 Champion!

TypingChicane gave me a good run to the finish. As of yesterday they had me beat in the Top 3, so I was nearly preparing for a clean sweep of losses. It's nice to claim at least one of the titles! I'd like to thank pokerman for running another great competition

And I'd also like to take this opportunity to emulate Nico Rosberg and announce my immediate retirement. I'm going traveling next year and I'm already mentally preparing for not keeping up to date with all things F1. I won't even be home when the 2019 season gets underway!

Commiserations to the other top contenders. At various points of the season I was under serious threat from different players. Look forward to seeing the race scores!

Congratulations, mcdo! The points table never lies.
But just the 3 points in the end then, eh? Is that the closest ever finish?

My thanks to pokerman for running the Pick 10 and consistently quick delivering of the results after each race.

Round 20: Yas Marina, Abu Dhabi

The start saw pole man Bottas lead from fellow front row starter Hamilton followed by Vettel, the two Mercedes cars pulled away from Vettel but try as he might Hamilton was never able to get close enough to Bottas for an attempted pass and this is how the top 3 finished on a track that is hard to pass on.

There was more to see further back when 4th placed man Ricciardo clipped a wall and damaged his tyre, he had to pit for new tyres but soon after retired with an hydraulic problem, another point of interest was Sainz retiring with a loose front wheel after it was incorrectly fitted during his pit stop.

Fifth in this round as in the championship, as last year's champ I can't say I'm pleased with that but the competition was just that much stronger this year.

Big congrats to mcdo for a stellar performance even though it was close in the end, and a big thanks to pokerman for running the competition so well.
