As mentioned above it will probably be best if the championship contenders PM me their predictions rather than posting in here.

Obviously you will want to leave it until the last minute to avoid other contenders seeing but that runs the risk of missing the deadline.

I will then post them myself after the 8pm deadline for everyone to see.

Rumors that this is in response to No Limit Excedrin Racing's last-minute changes ahead of the Brazilian GP went unanswered in a press conference held by the competition management... ;)

That sounds fair to me, in fact. We haven't discussed our strategy yet (and being both in contention I'm sure there will be discussion to be had :] ), but we'll be sure to get those to you by some time early in the morning of Thursday or thereabouts.

Good luck, everybody, and let's hope for a good race and a nail-biting finish to what has arguably been a more exciting year in our little competition than in the pinnacle of motorsport!

Crap! I got the time difference to the UK totally wrong - I thought I had another hour to go

Well, good luck everyone... I was going to go for HAM / VET / RAI, so hopefully whatever happens it's not that :-((
That was 5 points lost...

I have updated the championship contenders table to include perfect podium and round win tallies.

In the case of a points tie it is decided by perfect podiums, if that is also tied then it is down to round wins. If it is still tied I will go back through and work out who has more second places and so on until we have a winner.

I had 56 points (and the lead!) up to and including Hungary. Then I made the mistake of changing my usual Ham - Ros - Vet predicting for that race, and have managed just 19 points since, including that race. What might have been...

1. Hamilton
2. Rosberg
3. Vettel

Let's close out with a PP.

Well Saz is looking like the class of the group.

That said that I think the Merc plan for this race was a croc. I really think Hammy could have taken Nico if they'd pitted him just a few laps after Nico in the middle of the race. It is what it is, but it aggravates me when I feel the race result was manipulated.

Cheers to all of you who played along this year, it was a good competition! I wonder if we will ever see Carl again.

Well that's it, another season of F1 has come and gone. The final race of the 2015 season at Abu Dhabi saw Kimi Raikkonen finish 3rd to take his 3rd podium of the season. Lewis Hamilton came home a comfotable 2nd place while Nico Rosberg took his 3rd win in a row to finish the season on a high.

A low scoring round for most as many entrants had Vettel somewhere in their top 3. The same couldnt be said for cm97 and Fountoukos13 who correctly predicted all 3 places, finishing the season with the round win & a perfect podium too.

Results: Abu Dhabi
1. cm97 - 14pts

Congratulations to the Top Three constructors champions of 2015: No Limit Excedrin Racing

CarlPotter's Top Three Championship 2015: Constructors' Standings
1. No Limit Excedrin Racing - (Exediron & GPG) - 193pts
2. F1 Mayhem (jimmyj & Mayhem) - 185pts

8. Team 4 (Bentrovato & dizlexik) - 79pts

With no points scored by either of the top teams in the final round the standing remained as they were. No Limit Excedrin Racing take the championship, F1 Mayhem finish in 2nd place and Fire & Ice finish in 3rd place as they did in 2014.

Last years winning constructors Force Indian Takeaway ended the season in 5th and will be looking to bounce back next year.

Thank you everyone for participating! Hopefully a team or two can catch up to Mercedes over the winter and give us an even tougher competition in 2016.

Cheers

WE ARE WORLD CHAMPIONS! WORLD CHAMPIONS!

:]

Pretty unbelievable considering at one point in the season this team looked like we had no hope of winning. Congratulations to Mayhem F1 for providing a great benchmark to chase, to my teammate GPG for stepping into the team and sealing the first-ever double in the history of the Pick 3 championship, and last (but not least!) to pubpokerplayer for his contribution in co-founding the team and keeping us competitive in the early part of the season.

And of course special thanks to Black_Flag_11 for running this competition and giving us all something to care about every race weekend - no matter how boring the action on track has been, it's always been exciting in here. Hopefully next year there will be genuine competition for the top 3 spots - while I've enjoyed the all-or-nothing jeopardy of picking the winning two in 2015, one year (or two) of that is enough! :-P

Congrats to exedirin & gpg very well played. Heck of a season.... Thanks to black flag for hosting.... Thanks to my team mate jimmy for taking a chance on me for my rookie season. What a run..... Hope to see you all again for more seasons to come...

Suggestion for next season allow different picks between the drivers and constructors standings. Allowing you to make different selections incase you wanna take risk in one championship and not the other.

Probably a bit early for this really but with it being the off season I'm not sure how often people will be checking this part of the forum.

I may have a problem running the competition this year, I'm going to be restarting my studies so I'm not sure how much time I will get on the weekends to update and nothing confirmed yet but I may be unable to update at all for 3+ months at some point in the year.

So would anyone else like to take over the running of this? If no one fancies it I will continue to do so and try my best to keep it updated on time.

I'd be able to take it over if no one else steps forward. I'm almost always free on weekends and I stay up late, so more often than not I should be able to get an update out either the same day or the next. I certainly enjoy this competition too much to let it die out if you're no longer able.

Either way, big thanks for stepping in and running it these past years. Good luck with your studies!

I'll be putting up a new thread either later today or tomorrow; when I do that, I can add a section for topics we're thinking of changing ahead of the new season and maybe take a vote. One that I'd like to see is changing the time limit from 20:00 UK time on Friday to just any time before FP3 starts. And no, it isn't just because the 20:00 limit arguably cost me the title last year! :D

Should I also post an announcement in the main forum to attract some new entrants?
