Well that was very close to being yet another (predictable) Ham/Ros/Vet podium! Lewis Hamilton took another dominant win over his Mercedes teammate Nico Rosberg who finished in second. The big suprise though was Romain Grosjean getting back onto the podium for Lotus in 3rd.

For us that means that 5 entrants share the round win. jimmyj, GPG, Saz, Exediron and Bentrovato

Well it had to happen sooner or later, we now have an outright leader. Jenson's Understeer was the first to blink and place an unconventional prediction at the last minute, a brave move that did not pay off and resulted in a loss of 3 places. GPG and Saz move up into 2nd and 3rd respectively after a strong result.

Things are getting interesting in the teams championship too, with Fire & Ice and No Limit Exedrin Racing moving up into 2nd and 3rd, demoting Force Indian Takeway to 4th place.

Interestingly the top 4 drivers in the singles championship are also each in one of the top 4 teams. It looks increasingly likely that someone could do the double this year winning both titles.


Next up is Monza, where straight line speed is key. Will Mercedes be dominant with their drooping rear wing? and will Williams put on a stronger showing at a track which theoretically should suit them?

I bet this competition was intense in 2012. That should be the new complaint to Bernie - these regular same 3 drivers on the podium are killing our F1 fantasy and prediction games!

In all my many many years of F1 fantasy leagues I have never made the same predictions so many times in a season. It was very close when Brawn was dominating but this truly is a testimony to F1 in its current state of odd-ness.

What happened to my partner? We had a killer weekend on the podium at Spa as our car excels on fast circuits but it looks like we were only able to run 1 car. Dislexix hopefully Bottas runs well in Italy and you can bring Team 4 back to glory.
