2022 Testing Predictions!

Post by P-F1 Games Master »

Bit of fun to keep us all thinking over the winter! Basically, everyone who enters gets one point for each answer they get right, most points wins. Simple. So, let's see whose prediction skills are most finely honed for 2022! Entries close at 23.59 GMT on February 22nd.

Testing week 1, Barcelona:

1: Which team will top day 1?
2: Which team will set the most laps on day 1?
3: Which team will set the fewest laps on day 1?
4: Which team will improve their FL the most across from day 1 to day 3?
5: Which team will cause the first red flag of the week?
6: Which team will have the least improvement (or biggest loss) between day 1 and day 3?
7: Will any teams fail to show up on any day? If so, who? (points for each correct answer)
8: Which team(s) will have radical changes to their colour scheme? (points for each correct answer)
9: How many total red flags will we get?
10: How far off the 2021 Pole Position time will the fastest car be by the end of the week? (closest takes the point)

Also enter 3 predictions for this week not covered by the above questions.

Testing week 2, Sakhir:

1: Which team will top day 1?
2: Which team will set the most laps on day 1?
3: Which team will set the fewest laps on day 1?
4: Which team will improve their FL the most across from day 1 to day 3?
5: Which team will cause the first red flag of the week?
6: Which team will have the least improvement (or biggest loss) between day 1 and day 3?
7: Will any teams fail to show up on any day? If so, who? (points for each correct answer)
8: Will any teams change their livery between Barcelona and Sakhir? If so, who? (points for each correct answer)
9: How many total red flags will we get?
10: How far off the 2021 Pole Position time will the fastest car be by the end of the week? (closest takes the point)

Also enter 3 predictions for this week not covered by the above questions.

Time improvements require cars setting times on both day 1 and 3 to be valid.

1: Which team will top day 1? McLaren
2: Which team will set the most laps on day 1? Williams
3: Which team will set the fewest laps on day 1? Ferrari
4: Which team will improve their FL the most across from day 1 to day 3? Ferrari
5: Which team will cause the first red flag of the week? Alfa Romeo
6: Which team will have the least improvement (or biggest loss) between day 1 and day 3? Haas
7: Will any teams fail to show up on any day? If so, who? (points for each correct answer) None
8: Which team(s) will have radical changes to their colour scheme? (points for each correct answer) Red Bull and Alpine (presuming a pair of testing liveries here)
9: How many total red flags will we get? 5
10: How far off the 2021 Pole Position time will the fastest car be by the end of the week? (closest takes the point) 0.8 seconds down.

Prediction 1: At least one day sees wintry weather again.
Prediction 2: Russell to beat Hamilton over the week.
Prediction 3: Zhou closer to Bottas than Mazepin to Schumacher.

Testing week 2, Sakhir:

1: Which team will top day 1? Mercedes
2: Which team will set the most laps on day 1? McLaren

Prediction 1: No major (as in, cars unable to get back to the pits) crashes all week, the red flags are all mechanical.
Prediction 2: McLaren beat Mercedes at least one day.
Prediction 3: Ferrari top at least one day but are coy about their title hopes.

A question to the Games Master - I've answered that no teams will fail to show up. Do I get a point if no team fails to show up?

For question on 10 on both, I looked to see what the difference between last year's fastest test time and pole time was. Verstappen's test time was actually faster than his pole time by 0.037s, both set on C4 tyres.
