Sorry RustyRockets but I think you missed the deadline by a couple of hours here.

Editing to add: not too worry to much though, as you'd have scored 0 anyway.

After Hamilton's grid penalty, I'm switching this to... something a little bit risky. :uhoh:

Turkish Grand Prix
1. Max Verstappen
2. Valtteri Bottas
3. Charles Leclerc
That's brutally close to being a perfect podium...

I’m guessing if Hamilton does take a grid penalty, we won’t hear about it until after the start of FP3.
I've delayed entering my predictions on the offchance a penalty gets announced but now I think about it, Lewis always goes well here, so...

TURKISH GRAND PRIX
Podium Prediction

1. Valtteri Bottas
2. Max Verstappen
3. Sergio Perez

I'm taking a gamble here in believing that Red Bull truly is off the pace -- but I'm taking a far larger gamble by believing in Bottas' ability to deliver on what should be a gifted pole position.
Well played!

Turkish Grand Prix

Valtteri Bottas took his first win of the season at the Turkish Grand Prix as he finished ahead of Red Bull duo Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez.

Bottas led away from pole and was followed by Verstappen and Charles Leclerc in the damp conditions. Bottas gradually stretched his lead over the course of the race and was never threatened by Verstappen. Leclerc kept good pace with Verstappen but the key moments in the race came at two-thirds race distance.

Most of the field pitted to take on new intermediate tyres but Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton, who had began the race in P11 following a grid penalty, decided to stay out. Leclerc was eventually passed by Bottas and pitted but Hamilton looked like he was going to the end to try and hang onto third position. Eventually though, he pitted and Perez who, had passed Leclerc on track, was elevated to the final podium position.

Points
14 points – Exediron
8 points – Espo, Bentrovato, Jezza13
3 points – Tufty, P-F1 Games Master
1 point – F1Tyrant

Individual Standings
The top two didn’t score meaning Exdiron’s perfect podium lifted him into second place in the standings, just a point behind Icemanjee1. Eight points for Espo mean that just six points separate the top four.

Team Standings
THE – Turbo Hybrid Era take the lead in the Team Championship after Team A doesn’t score any points. Just eight points separate the top three.

Next time
Our title battle is more exciting than F1’s title battle – will anyone in either battle start to take a decisive step forward in the US?

I can't embed the images using imgBB for some reason and I can't work out how to embed using Imgur so pasting links you'll have to visit to see the standings. Hopefully someone can suggest another image hosting site to use :)

Oh shoot! I thought it was the beginning of qualy, didn't realize it was FP3.

Would have hurt if I actually did score points but thankfully my picks were terrible for Turkey. Apologies to the team :-(( Thankfully Ben carried us this week. Gotta step up my game for the last 6 races here.

Congrats to Exediron for the win this week. Great three-way battle for both titles

Question for anyone seeing this:

can you see the images (of the tables) that Exediron embedded in his post? I get an image icon, which I can right click and click load image but nothing happens. I'm guessing it's my laptop as it's fine on my phone.

I don't think anyone in the top five had a Verstappen win prediction, so the field may have closed up quite a bit. I'll get a point, at least...

US Grand Prix
Max Vertsappen triumphed in a thrilling race long battle against title rival Lewis Hamilton at the US Grand Prix. Sergio Perez completed the podium on a good day for Red Bull in both championships.

Verstappen started from pole but was beaten into the first corner by Hamilton who started well. Hamilton’s inability to pull away from Verstappen in the first stint resulted in an aggressive undercut attempt from Red Bull. Hamilton eventually reacted three laps later but by that time, Verstappen led by six seconds.

Hamilton gradually closed the gap in the second stint and when he got into undercut at approximately half race distance, Verstappen once again took to the pits. Hamilton ran seven laps longer in the hope he could challenge Verstappen at the end of the race on fresher tyres.

This looked to be going to plan as Hamilton cut the gap but eventually his charge stalled as he struggled to get through the dirty air as he got close to being in DRS. Verstappen remained composed throughout and took what could be a huge win the context of the championship.

Perez had a largely lonely race as he couldn’t keep up with the front two, and despite a late charge from the impressive Charles Leclerc, was never really looked like finishing anywhere other than third.

Points
14 points - JN23
8 points - F1Tyrant
1 point - Exediron, Mod Titanium, Remmirath

Individual standings
Only Exediron in the top seven scored any points and even that was only one, but it puts them level with Icemanjee1 at the top of the standings. Icemanjee1 leads courtesy of their four perfect podiums.

F1Tyrant jumps up a couple of place whilst JN23’s perfect podium see’s a huge jump from 12th to 6th!

Team standings
The only change in the Team standings is Team Turbo moving from 6th to 4th.

Next time
Many expect Red Bull to hold a not insignificant advantage but in this season, nothing is for certain.
