And I like to listen to the SILENCE. I used to love music. And worked even to music, but now I love silence, my favorite podcast))

Metallica for life. This artistic masterpiece embodies everything in its splendor. Easily one of my favorite songs since I was a child and still is today.

It's good to see theres someone else who stuck in the music time warp.
While I wasn't into Metallica when they were "current", I certainly appreciate them greatly now. I could listen to S&M until my ears bleed. My god I love that album.
I was in high school when Metallica ruled the world but even with all my friends loving the band for some reason I didn't really get into them. I was instead transfixed by, what was by then anyway, artists considered to be old, which copped my a lot of stick from my mates at the time
While Led Zepplin, The Doors, Jimmy Hendrix, David Bowie & of course the late Beatles classics ruled my ears & my brain at the time, for me there was, & still is, one band to rule them all.
Pink Floyd.
The concept albums, Waters often dark lyrics, Masons drumming, Wrights keyboards & of course Gilmores brilliant & underestimated guitar skills. The concert light shows, the album covers, the little background inserts on their songs (laughter, talking, clocks ticking etc). A Floyd album was like going a journey & not just an amalgamation of songs on a bit of vinyl or a cassette.
As for Gilmour's guitar skills, see 4:56 on this vid. Often regarded as one of if not the greatest guitar solo's ever. Maybe technically not that difficult, but very emotive. Best consumed loud, headphones on, dark room & reclined, as Floyd often is.

Recently got back into Metallica after not really listening to any of their stuff since the 2008 album, also loved S&M.
Just wondering if you've listened to S&M2, and if so whether you thought it was anywhere near the first? As it's on my list to listen to but it feels like an album I want to listen to in one go, possibly even when a little intoxicated, so haven't had the chance yet.
