question on pc specs

Sorry if this isn't topic worthy, but I thought I'd ask and hopefully more knowledgeable people than me can contribute to help other people on my predicament.
I don't know much about pc specs and I'm wanting to know what would make for a good gaming pc. I've been looking through a few different sites and decided that I should go for a custom built, non-branded one, to get what I think I need and at a slightly lower price.
What I've chosen is:
Processor (CPU): Intel® Core™i5 Quad Core Processor i5-7600K (3.8GHz) 6MB Cache
Motherboard: ASUS® H110I-PLUS: Mini-ITX, LGA1151, USB 3.0, SATA 6GBs
Memory (RAM): 16GB Corsair VENGEANCE DDR4 2133MHz (2 x 8GB)
Graphics Card: 4GB NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 1050 Ti - DVI, HDMI, DP
1st Hard Disk: 1TB SEAGATE FIRECUDA 2.5" SSHD - UP TO 5X FASTER THAN HDD!
Power Supply: CORSAIR 350W VS SERIES™ VS-350 POWER SUPPLY
Processor Cooling: INTEL STANDARD CPU COOLER
Thermal Paste: STANDARD THERMAL PASTE FOR SUFFICIENT COOLING
Sound Card: ONBOARD 6 CHANNEL (5.1) HIGH DEF AUDIO (AS STANDARD)
Wireless/Wired Networking GIGABIT LAN PORT + Wi-Fi (Wi-Fi excluded on H110I-PLUS)
USB Options: MIN. 2 x USB 3.0 & 4 x USB 2.0 PORTS @ BACK PANEL + MIN. 2 FRONT PORTS
Operating System: Genuine Windows 10 Home 64 Bit - inc DVD & Single Licence
Monitor: ASUS VE248HR 24" LED DISPLAY
So is this a decent spec for current and future gaming and is this spec worth £900 or not?
Also what virus/online protection software would people recommend and also if it's even worth having a DVD/Bluray drive.
