Nicest livery on the grid so far IMO.

Whether they'll start working their way back up the grid is another question entirely...

EDIT: Now I've seen it on-track, it looks very much like an F2 livery, although I'm glad they've gone for the colourful look instead of the dull greys and blacks we've been seeing on a few cars these last few years.

I'm hoping they've made improvements. If Russell impresses again then I can see Merc taking him on for 2021.

Don't like it. Just no overall impression made when you view the car as a whole. Not going to go down as a classic Williams livery. Just hope it goes better than it looks.

It's not terrible, bit it just looks like a generic race car livery. If there was a clipart photo of an F1 car this is it.

Looks like a not-an-actual F1 car Scalextric livery...

Looks very F2 to me, which I fear could be apt.

Looks like they've finally accepted their position as backmarkers and renewed their livery accordingly.

Beautiful it is not, sophisticated looking it is not. But as a boy, when I should have been listening to my teachers, I sat and drew F1 cars on scraps of paper and this was the kind of thing I came up with. Whilst I was watching the JPS Lotus, Marlboro McLaren and sleek, simple Ferrari's on TV, I drew cars with big splashes of one colour and another big splash of another colour.

For that Williams, I salute you!

It looks like a mid-late 90's backmarker.

When I saw the initial praising of the livery I thought there must be something wrong with my eyes, good to see that others were seeing what I was seeing. :)

Me too. It's a break from the tradition of trying to make the cars look sleek and fashionable. Good to have something different.

I fully agree with you. This Livery is a proper one, with purposeful pre-planing and actual DESIGN going into it rather than what has become so prevalent with F1. Last year's Williams livery was abysmal with just some misting of that teal to give off the appearance of a design. This is sort of a throw back when cars featured different elements that follow the brands of their sponsors, but tie in and marry well together.

I wouldn't say it's the best livery yet because the AT is stunning (the white overalls are KILLER!!!), but it's definitely top 3 for me, and the car does look more developed and different to last year's Williams, contrary to what they've said about it being pretty much the same as last year's car.
HAMILTON :: VERSTAPPEN :: LECLERC :: BOTTAS :: VETTEL :: SAINZ :: NORRIS
KVYAT :: RAIKKONEN :: RUSSEL :: ALBON :: RICCIARDO :: HULKENBURG :: PEREZ
STROLL :: MAGNUSSEN :: GROSJEAN :: GASLY :: GIOVANAZZI :: KUBICA

Reminds me of an Indycar, and I dont mean that as a disparagement. Just a product of the sponsorship that makes it up..... looks like a 1980s paintjob to me, and i'm more than happy with it.

Hopefully it goes a bit more like an 80s Williams too.

I think the praise comes as a result of the fact that last year's car was the most embarrassing, cringe-worthy mess of a livery I have ever seen -- no exaggeration. It's use of that awful Y2K era fade brush made it look like something a kid whipped up in Paintshop Pro, and it screamed bottle of toothpaste more than racing car.

Compared to that, this one is a work of art.
