Lewis gets a lot of slack for his demeanor and his words, but today Lewis definitely showed more character than Fernando.
Lewis Hamilton wrote:He's a two-time world champion and very rarely makes mistakes so I just do the best I can to get myself as high as possible.
I know, a double-post, but I believe when a driver deserves a compliment, he should be given one.

I love the farewell video the BBC have made in this link:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/formula1/20171444

Its easy to see all the frustrations built up at Mclaren, but at the same time they've had a tremendously strong partnership. Both are untouchable at their best!

Great video. Reminded me of Mansell and all his bad luck.

Incredible! Brought a tear to my eye.

I'm really hoping he wins tonight in Abu Dhabi. And in Austin. And in Brazil.

This may have been done countless times but my personal fave is Lewis in Istanbul 2006 during his GP2 championship. Awesome drive.

Hamilton slightly better in quali and race . Rosberg may out-qualifying him on some occasions.

Lewis will need some time too adjust too the new car and the team, but in the end he will
come out on top.

Any news on the latham mystery? Very weird that hamiltons engineer would go missing for the most important part of the year. Hamilton doesn't seemed to have missed a beat, but odd that he never came back.

I think quali will be a bit closer, but I think in the race we will see more from LH than NR. Nico seems to be anonymous for the race and rarely does he do anything out of the ordinary.

I think it could potentially be a close battle and maybe NR will put up an impressive fight, to be honest I can't wait, it may end up the same as LH and JB, which is why I suggest that people do not underestimate NR at all.

IMO it has a influence when the race engineer he worked together for 3 years now, disappears suddenly, IMo Lewis did not say someting, because anyone will have said, he is making excuses
There are some rumours but nothing concrete . Some say his child / wife is not well
others say he has left the team, others say he was replaced from McL because of Spa
But no one said something

i think that, since next year he has freedom of his personal sponsors, he should definitely talk to UNICEF about sponsorship for free, he seems to be passionate about the cause so it'd be cool if he was able to get them

FC Barcelona PAID UNICEF €1.5 million a year to carry the UNICEF logo on their shirts so he won't be doing it for free.. He'd be paying them

i dont think that Barca were required to pay UNICEF, just that they wanted to, just as Hamilton might choose to do, although i doubt it'd be as much given how Barca is a lot richer than Hamilton, but he could choose to pay some money if he wanted, he probably already gives them a lot of money. Either way it'd be good.

Yes they were, a donation was required to have the name on the shirts and the high price was to show that UNICEF was not being used as a "brand"

Oh right, well i'm sure he could still do that, although as i said i doubt they'd make him pay £1.5m, and as Sabrina said he could easily talk to another NPO about sponsorships for free if UNICEF don't want him to bare their logo, which as far as i can see would be a drastically dumb move by them...

IMo it's great what he does. Lewis said he wants do a lot more charity work. He told his XIX management this is what he wants to do. not a rap star or film star, he wants to do more charity

An excellent choice indeed. It is easy to forget the real world amidst the glitz and glamour of F1. Lewis always seems to make conscious effort to reach out to the less fortunate; I remember a picture of him with street kids in Manila eariler this year too.

At the end of the day, this is the sort of thing that makes me proud to support him.
