From what I can tell, the best looking beast so far except for the livery.

are you sure the original pic is not fake? kinda dumb of Merc to do this, I would have done pics of the door at various stages of being open and then a separate pic of the car. NOT to hide the pic of the car in the dark.....I dunno the more I think about it the more dodgy it sounds....

i like the nose shape, kinda like sauber with a sharper look

Still not clear image, but the tweets are hilarious. One Spanish guy saying " where's Hamilton with his phone when you need him?" and such...I agree.

This whole campaign is a teaser IMo they won't reveal the pic today

You can pick appart the website manually in chrome.

Thats the image you'll see and if you open up photoshop and tweak the lighting you'll start seeing the car.

Like I said before, disrespectful to the fans. Not that I'm a Merc fan myself, I'm with Button wherever he goes, but swimming pool them off like this is not a good way to start a campaign which anyways has big question signs all over it.

I think it's more the fact a few of us die hard fans have waited sub-4 hours for a picture.. With little updates or an alternative in place from Mercedes. If they say they will do something; and then crash and burn - its a disappointment. On top of there form in recent seasons, one can be quite justified in feeling angered by a lack of picture..

Anyways, first impression: disreputable

In fairness, when this was announced at midday it did say that the reveal would begin at 4, and then the car would be gradually seen between then and Monday, the speed of such dictated by the amount of Twitter activity. I haven't really spent much time checking back throughout the course of the day, so I clearly don't have as much frustration as those that have done, but nothing from the preamble gave me the impression that a full photo of the car would definitely be released today.

If Petronas takes over the colourscheme any more it'll start looking more like a Sauber...

I wish there was like...Halloween for race cars, where Merc could change their livery to Petronum and put Adrian Newey's face on it. We used to do that sometimes with our cars for big BMW events, with painter's tape. I always Advan liveried my e46.

Anyway, back to my drink...

This is sooo funny, Merc should of just left it alone, however , hd23 enhance is good, the front wing seems to have a different take on the inner winglets from that shot, looks like a pedestal design but the important part of the car ( rear ) will not be seen till Monday.

Well, tuned in this morning excited to see Merc number 4 before the RB9 launch kicks off. This is quite frankly an insult to fans across the world. You promised an unveiling yesterday, not between now and Monday. The whole situation has been handled extremely poorly.

I'm pretty sure that's 100% wrong. From memory they promised a gradual reveal between 4pm or 5pm or whatever yesterday and Monday. The speed of that reveal depended on Twitter hashtag activity.

They tweeted this at 13:18 yesterday:

"@MercedesAMGF1: The car launch won't be at 4pm GMT today, the door will appear at that time.. The rest is up to you all! We set the bar high "

Whilst this situation was a bit of a shambles, and a little bit of a silly idea, those who were expecting to see the W04 yesterday probably got a bit over-excited and didn't read the announcement correctly.
