Did anybody get a good look at the Sutil/Di Resta incident? What actually happened? BBC didn't show any replays!

Di Resta seemed pretty tiddled about it, but then again...

After the 2 tests, Force India is looking the 4th best team as per long run lap times. Di Resta has did well last year & he posting the 5th best time, proves Force India has a great & a genuine good paced car. The car is not suffering much from tyre degradation.

The car has surely cleared above the midfield trio - Sauber, Williams & Toro Rosso. I know it's early days but these 2 tests do throw an insight on data & it's not just an assumption.

This race is the best qualifying performance by Force India. 5th & 6th!

Although Happy With The Result,Di Resta Could Have Done Better..He Really Was Very Slow In Last Flyer Compared To The Car He Has..Sutil Not Comfortable Either In The Car.But VJM06's Are Good On Tyres So Lets Hope For Decent Result In Race!!!

Both of them were still the 4th best team in qualifying! Force India are not that hard on the tyres. Force India can have a great race tomorrow.

FI has the main issue of reliability as they can not maintain their good pace over the race.. They have got a very good car this year.. hope both of them earn the point tomorrow.. I hope to see atleast one podium this year for FI. If hulk remained in this team he could have done better..

Are you sure?

In Melbourne, Sutil was able to pull away from Vettel. In Malaysia, he was in the top 4 in practice sessions & in Q1 & Q2 till the conditions got cooler. China was a not great race overall but Di Resta in the final stint was matching pace with the leaders.

Their car this year is easy on the tyres & this gives a major boost, just like how Sauber enjoyed last year.

A top 6 is very likely for them if the strategies fall right in place.

I agree that they have good car but still not reliability.. Aus was good but in Malaysia none of driver finished.. had wallnut issue... In China Sutil crashed.. not his fault but then again luck..
I hope tomorrow is better.. and both can earn some points for FI

The wallnut, sorry wheelnut issue has been resolved.

Their engine package is quite reliable. Both of the cars have been in top 10 throughout all of the sessions in Bahrain.

Even though Di Resta came 4th, it's dissapointing to just miss out on the podium. Force India have scored I believe 4 4th places, which means a step just off the podium. The podium is being a tad too elusive.

I think they messed up a bit with tactics, 2nd/3rd was very close.

The strategy wasn't that bad. Lotus is a better car. The tyres didn't seem to last as long as expected, especially the mediums.

That's k! It was just funny.

Waiting for a podium. Barcelona will refresh the picture as most of the teams will be getting big updates, including Force India.

If Sutil would have some luck the FI team would likely be battling for 4th in the WCC. The car is really fast on the faster tracks. Just need a tad more downforce for the curvy bits.

Great race from Di Resta today but just a bit off sync so he literally had to let Grosjean by.

Till now whatever minor updates they have had on the car, has worked well.

Am expecting Force India to only get stronger. For how long will it happen that either driver doesn't finish when the car is so good.

Barcelona as a track should suit Force India again. The car is the best in its 6 year history.

Not an expert and I know I stick up for Paul Di Resta...............but.........

Force India seem to me, to be a fantastic example of an emerging team, in any sport. Steady evolution, great PR, colourful quality kit, and yet understated and steady leadership.
Lets face it, they were consistently last with the odd 10th or 11th not so long ago.

Their worst spots are now middle and their best results are edging to the podium.
It can only go from strength to strength and hopefully be in F1 for the long haul.

I'll go and put my hard hat on

Sutil & Di Resta are as of now confident, happy & thirsty for more, considering how good the car already is.

Having scored 26 points in 4 races already & 15 more to go, a good tally is in prospect for the WCC standings.

After the tyre change, it's not a hidden fact that Force India have lost their competitive edge. On the other hand, McLaren have become more competitive & have overtaken Force India in the WCC table.

VM still thinks that Force India can catch up with McLaren & probably overtake them:-

http://www.f1reader.com/#/news/mallya-s ... aren-82393

As much as I'm a Force India fan, I believe he's being over optimistic.

As 1 stage, the team was looking like the surprise of the season & now they've lost so much of their performance, it seems Toro Rosso & Sauber may well catch Force India, if not overtake the team in the WCC table.

I like FI, right behind them, but TBH I think if Mclaren get their act together, it will be too big job to stay infront of them unless Mclaren have some poor races or DNF's.

Hope they do though

It's called marketing; a tactic to keep sponsors (however minimal they may be). No team principal will say 'we suck now'. :]

It well could be.

Anyway, no team principal would say "we give up" or "we are miserable". Even the pit garages of Caterham & Marussia are brimmed with optimism always.

Force India don't have the resources to compete with McLaren at this stage. It was a good battle while it lasted.

Force India are picking up from where they left since Silverstone, so what if they were on different strategies compared to other teams, but hats off for being able to last the tyres for so long.

Yes. A 32 point gap is quite safe.

Force India are again becoming capable of doing a pit stop less, just as they did in the races prior to Germany.

Happy to see them score some decent points after their performance slump for the past few races.

An incredible day for Force India today as:-

Perez gets a podium.

Hulk is 3rd in the WDC.

Force India is 2nd in the WCC.

An interesting article on the impressive turnaround (so far) for Force India in 2014:-

http://www.f1zone.net/news/feature-forc ... ght/31973/

This year am sure they won't stop development because if they try their all, they may finish ahead of McLaren in 4th or worse, 5th.

If 4th, that's a good amount of prize money to receive.

As of now, seeing them 3rd in the constructors & Hulk in 4th place in the WDC surely is a treat for all Force India fans.

They're not title sponsor so I guess the reported £9 million is sufficient.
I wonder who will replace Sahara as title sponsor though, reading through news articles it doesn't seem Sahara is a company that's going to be around for much longer. I do hope they're able to find sufficient money to see them through competitively in 2014.
