I'm glad this was the main concern you picked up over the course of the season.

No sponsor wants to be associated with someone so boring?

As an aside - I think Hulk should change his - seeing DEKRA on his cap reminds me of the early Schumi/Ferrari years!

Isn't that a good thing?

Or because he's Scottish and the concept of having to shield your eyes from the sun is completely alien to him.

Great observation!

Reminds me of Karl Pilkington taking about 'Jimmy the hat'...

Why do you call him 'Jimmy the hat', is it because he always wears a hat?

No that's the thing he never wears a hat, that's why he's called Jimmy the hat.

So you have met him in person to come to that conclusion? (Because that's the only way you can judge his personality )

In the F1 paddock he is respected as a great guy to be around and have in the team because he has good people skills and gives good feedback to the team (Outside his driving ability)

And to the average F1 fan he comes across as dull and boring. How often do you see the guy smile, or have a conversation on TV that doesnt involve him bitching about the car or his team.

Still, you cannot judge someones personality or you have never met just be seeing him on TV. In the paddock he's seen as down to earth, mellow and humble, but on a night out has a good laugh. (Most of the drivers go out and party)

I can judge him from what I have seen of him on TV and he appears to have the personality of a banana.

As RickM said, he never seems to smile and he always sounds like his favourite goldfish just got flushed down the toilet. He's like Kimi but depressing. Really depressing.

He maybe respected as a driver by some in F1 but that doesn't mean he doesn't have a personality that is the personification of beige.

One can judge whoever one wants.

Life is all about judgement. People will judge you whether you like it or not and you will judge others even if you don't even realise you are.

It is my opinion that Di Resta comes across as a dullard in his interviews and that won't change unless he does. Either you can deal with that and move and and accept it as my opinion of him or you can argue until you are blue in the face that your opinion is more right than my opinion when in fact they are both just bloody opinions. Christ.

You dont get it do you.

We are the people the sponsors want to attract. So how the driver comes across to US is vital for them - nobody gives a rats donkey what they are like off camera, so long as they give the right impression to the customer.

Personally although he's fairly subdued, on camera at least, I think he comes across really well. Maybe because I've lived in Scotland for a good chunk of my life I get him.

Anyway, OT, he really never does at all. I'd never noticed before, but as soon as it's pointed out, you realise it was slapping you in the face all along. Everyone else does, if not all the time, they do at least sometimes. You'd expect, if he had no personal sponsors with a cap contract, that he'd wear a Force India one. Strange, there must be a reason.
