No, because Vettel and Kimi think they have James Hunt's personality and after that must be thoroughly convinced that Juan Manuel Fangio had nothing on them. F1 drivers, with veeery few exceptions, are extremely arrogant and generally unpleasant people. Doesn't stop me from liking them as drivers, but I definitely wouldn't want to know them personally, they must be unbearable.

Yeah, good argument. :uhoh: The classic jumping off a bridge fallacy. I'm having trouble believing you're a professed hater, as you stated in the other thread, when you're in here defending him swearing on TV.

I guess you're just mad that he made it to the podium

I found it quite funny, but there are children watching the interviews and I guess it's not really appropriate. But I wouldn't go as far as giving them a bill, just tell them to not repeat the swearing for next interview and be done with it.

I observe, I read and hear the things they say. But if you want to keep believing in drivers' cult of celebrity and consider them beacons of truth and believe they can do no wrong, like a 10 year-old boy, then I won't shatter your illusion.

I think it was Seb's way of covering up for Kimi after Kimi made his comment. Afterall, we know they're good friends and we also know that Seb has a quick wit.

I missed the entire interview so I'd also like if someone had a link.

While I couldnt give a monkeys about the swearing hopefully this will be the final nail in the coffin for the live podium interviews - let them get back to slightly delayed interview room questions after the drivers have rinsed the champers from their faces and had a debrief from a team member so that they have something useful to say.

Won't somebody think of the f**king children?!

Seriously, this fuss about a couple of words is nonsense in this day and age...I just laughed as I'm sure most viewers did.

And then had to explain to your kids why "f#ck" and "sh1t" are not ideal words to use in everyday conversation?

Edit

Was I offended? No, but I can understand why some are not exactly happy.

Yes, without this podium interview the kids would've gone through their entire childhoods without hearing swear words.

That's probably a good thing to do at some point anyway...

However, no it's not ideal. I think Vettel's loud and premeditated opening was worse than Kimi's mid sentence slip.
And no, it shouldn't really happen. However, I'm sure they'll give them a talking to about it and drivers will be a bit more careful from now on. No biggie, it's hardly the end of the world.

Yes, I wonder what the interview's implications are to world peace or the economic crisis.

Slightly off topic, but I think the language used by Kimi and Seb was nothing. I remember Jeremy Clarkson said on an episode of Top Gear the word pornography, and I had my 9 year old sister ask me what it meant. And that's not even a swear word. So I think there are much worse offenders out there than Kimi and Seb, and as the majority of people have said, they just laughed it off. Parents swear, you'd be surprised at the number or 9 year olds who swear when they think you can't hear them, so it's a non issue. And don't even get me started on how bad DC is!!
