ADAC & Italian F4 teams extended their Red Bull ring test for another day on Wednesday after much running was lost Monday & Tuesday through snow!

Hamda Al Qubaisi was 12th fastest (Prema, 1m31.3s) and Maya Weug 13th (Iron Lynx, 1m31.4s).

For the 3rd day in a row Ollie Bearman (VAR, 1m30.5s) was fastest, Kirill Smal was 3rd (Prema, 1m30.9s) and Leonardo Fornaroli 4th (Iron Lynx, 1m30,9s). Toni Naude's team AS did not participate.

At the end of the 3 days both Al Qubaisi & Weug were around 0.4s slower than their fastest team mates implying they are pretty competitive.

The first day of FRECA's F3 test at Barcelona saw Balen Garcia (G4) record 32nd fastest time some 3s off the pace. However, she was just a few hundreths and one place lower than team mate Axel Gnos. Lena Buhler (R-ace), though on the entry list, did not record a time.

Patrik Pasma (KIC) was fastest from Gregoire Saucy (ART) and Alex Quinn (Arden).

The US F4 Championship begins this weekend at Road Atlanta. Today was a test day, 28 cars tested. All three 20 min sessions were very restricted due to yellow flag periods, many drivers only completing 2 or 3 laps in each.

I admire those, like Emily Linscott, that don't whinge and just get on with it, she is raising funds to support her US F4 campaign via Indiegogo, I've contributed, anybody else? She has raised sufficient to cover the first four rounds (3 races per round), only two more to complete the season.

It's interesting. I was fairly cynical about the use of social media in a semi-business context such as this, but since I started using Twitter to keep to date on female racers, I get it. Some make a real effort to engage and allow their personality to come across and it's effective. Emily is definitely one. Seems there are a few "types" emerging and after a while you do start to see the difference between those that are really trying promote their career as opposed to just themselves. Not being brutal, but I don't care that your DHL parcel didn't arrive or it's your Nan's birthday, but I do want to hear your thoughts on testing.

And agreed about that track shot, looks every bit as fun as Emily is finding it!

US F4 round 1 Free Practice 2 at Road Atlanta, Georgia saw JuJu Noda the only driver under 1m28s when she set her fastest time on the last lap of the session. Chloe Chambers was some 2.7s behind in 20th while Emily Linscott failed to record a time.

All I can find on Twitter is that she has been disqualified, but the reason has not been given. You would think that if it was something clear cut that this information would be readily available.

There was mention of a lot of red flags during the practice session, so I guess it's possible she didn't slow down enough during one of these sessions, but then even if that was true (and it's entirely speculative) I don't know if that receives a DSQ or other form of penalty.

US F4 round 1 at Road Atlanta saw Jason Adler finished first from Noel Leon and Nico Christodoulou. Chloe Chambers finished 11th and Emily Linscott 16th while JuJu Noda was listed as DNS.

The race likely finished under yellow flags as the time gaps between the cars was minimal.

There is still no further info on why she did not take part in qualifying or the race. I note however, that having included Noda on their team announcement when she set fastest time in practice JHDD have not mentioned her in any tweet since. Perhaps it's something contractual?

Okay, Noda Racing have issued a statement

There's one unsubstantiated tweet suggesting that there were technical irregularities found on the car, there's another suggesting that there is an issue with JuJu Noda herself. I don't know anything more but it looks like they will not compete this weekend.

I seriously hope the other rumour, which I'll not repeat because it's offensive to Americans, is not true.

If this was a stewards decision FIA regulations require the organisers to make it public

US F4 round 1 race 2 at Road Atlanta saw Jason Adler again finish first from Noel Leon and Aria Deukmejian. Emily Linscott was 15th & Chloe Chambers 21st.

Linscott was running 11th when she went off, dropped to 19th place (last of the runners) before closing the 15s gap to the car in front and climbing to 15th at the flag. During this period she consistently recorded low 1m31s times while all those ahead of her at the flag up to 9th were were running high 1m31s low 1m32s. Chloe Chambers crashed out on lap 2 in an incident which claimed 4 other cars.

All very odd regarding Noda. The team has clarified it's nothing to do with race/ethnicity etc but not offered any explanation as to what the reason actually was. Very strange, wonder if the truth will ever emerge.

As I said earlier, if it was a Stewards decision, say something wrong with the car, FIA regs require the Stewards to publish it within 48 hours (I believe).

US F4 round 1 race 3 at Road Atlanta saw Noel Leon finish first from Jason Adler and Arias Deukmedjian. Emily Linscott was 8th & Chloe Chambers 11th of 28.

Linscott in particular impressed in the wet conditions, her fastest lap being 1s quicker than Chambers while both girls climbed up the field with numerous overtakes.

Abbi Pulling recorded the 7th fastest time in the British F4 test at Silverstone National over the weekend.

Her time, set in the first session was just 0.1s off the fastest set by Roman Bilinski in the generally faster second session, 5 of the 6 cars ahead of her set their times in session 2.

Pulling was not allowed to take part in session 2 because of an issue with her car's monocoque.

The entire field of 18 cars was covered by 0.65s!

Vivien Keszthelyi (20) confirms she will race for Motorpark in Euroformula this season.

She began her career touring cars and sports cars before racing in the 2019 Asian F3 winter series.

Her best finish in W Series in 2019 was 8th

One team mate will be American Jak Crawford who was 2nd in ADAC F4 last season.

She also lies 19th (out of 50) in the standings with 69pts, 40pts off a playoff place.

Day 1 of FREC's pre-season test at Paul Ricard saw Beitske Visser record 25th & Belen Garcia 35th (and last) fastest times.

W-Series driver Visser was standing in at R-Ace for Lena Buhler who has a broken hand sustained at the previous test.

Identical fastest laps of 1m57.9 were recorded by Gregroire Saucy & Isaac Hadjar, Visser was 1.5s down while Garcia was another 1.5s further back.

Esme Hawkey (23), current British Porsche Carrera Cup Pro-Am champion has signed to drive for Deborak Mayer's Iron Dames in the European Le Mans series where she will pilot a Ferrari 488 GTE Evo.

Controversially dropped from W Series after, in her debut season in single seaters/open wheel cars, racing in the top 10 several times before securing 3rd on the grid at the Brands Hatch finale she dominated the PCC PA class last season with multiple class wins.

She will be joined under the Iron Dames umbrella by Doriane Pin (17) who was one of the 4 finalists in the FIA Girls On Track initiative who will race a similar Ferrari in Michelin Le Mans series in France.

Day 2 of FREC's pre-season test at Paul Ricard saw Beitske Visser record 23rd & Belen Garcia 31st fastest times in the afternoon session.

Visser had been well inside the top 20 but was on a long run towards the end of the session when many others bolted on a new set of tyres for a qualy type run.

David Vidales (1:58.278) was fastest from Gregoire Saucy (1:58.336) , Visser was 1.4s down while Garcia was another 2.6s off the pace.

There is some chat on Reddit and other SM that suggests they've withdrawn from the entire championship, every official statement thus far says just the Road Atlanta round.

I can't find any public documents from the Road Atlanta stewards, I have confirmed that there is FIA championship regulation that official decisions must be published within 48 hours of the event followed by a further 48 hour period for appeals to be lodged.

It's almost as if everyone has been gagged, I can feel the theme tune from Twilight Zone...

The issue is that Japanese is a context based language, so it's impossible to add any certainty, because what's been written could mean many different things. My wife is Japanese and she said that without knowing the full details it's impossible to be completely certain what it is saying. A lot of it was only possible to clarify when I told her the details I did know.

Neither did some of those who got 2020 (now 2021) entries, they chose to drop her even though she was clearly faster than some who were invited back whatever the table showed.

If I were the decision makers I might be embarrassed since she's the only W Series experienced driver who actually regularly won races and a series in 2020! OK it was Porsche Cup ProAm class cars (which are faster than F3 cars) but she was quick and competitive finishing on the Pro podium more than once. Given that each race offers £1000 to the ProAm class winner and £7k/Porsche for a year prize for the championship the incentive to win is strong.

Of course, this is just my opinion and since I'm not signing the cheques, my opinion doesn't hold much weight.

FREC's pre-season test at Paul Ricard finished with Beitske Visser (1m58.676s) recording 19th & Belen Garcia (1m59.550s) 29th fastest times.

Isack Hadjar (1m57.591s) was fastest from Gregoire Saucy (1m57.602s).

Louis Foster (CryptoTower, 2m11.145s) was fastest, only 13 cars joined the test.
