to your hopes for Di Resta.

Excellent drive by PAUL, almost onto the podium........ Fended off the challenges of everyone from behind and handled the 2 safety cars pretty well.. The best I have seen from him..

Because Perez did a much better job in terms of strategy and race pace while Di Resta had the car.

Just like this year though the Sauber was significantly better on it's tyres so looked better in the race. To be fair though the Force India was better by the end of the year but for the first half the Sauber was much the better car if you look at Kobayashi's result. 8 points is a rubbish return, this season he has been excellent however.

I am fed up with all negative comment Di Resta is getting, so I am voicing my support for this guy. He didn't do anything wrong, never shunted anyone, had some great drives, yet people seem to judge him by unexciting appearance. I hope he get's some good results and more support in the world of F1.

On these Forum's he is the least supported driver and is highly underrated (Most like Hulk more)

It's been close with the Hulk but they keep changing positions depending on the style of the track (Both seem very even) So it's anyone's guess who will come out on top after the final events.

Looking forward for tomorrow; he starts 5th in Bahrain, and I hope he does really well! Go Paul!

Di Resta finally show what he is made of. Points in every race he finished this year. Staying out of trouble and get the job done. Would be nice if he can score at least one podium before Mclaren starting to catch them.

Really pleased for him - some good, consistent driving. Would love for him to get a podium this year!

Despite not really liking the guy, this sort of performance deserves applause.

Di Resta is only 12 points behind Button two races to go, well settled in 10th position as the best of the rest (apart from RBR, Ferrari, Mercedes, Lotus and Mclaren driver(s) - beating Perez), and still seems like he will not have a seat next year. Sad thing.

Sadly, looks like Paul will seat out a year. I hope he returns with a bang.

It's funny, I was watching Andy Murray win Sports Personality of the Year tonight and he said "sorry I don't sound excited, it's just the way my voice is! I can't help it. But I really am excited."

He is another Scot who is often accused of having no personality or being boring. I don't understand how people like Kimi (who I actually like) can get lauded and fawned over for every two-word answer yet Paul, who always tries to be honest and open and takes the time to actually answer questions properly, gets criticised for being boring.

I'm kind of past the point where I bother too much about what others think of them - he has a large group of people that for some reason really don't like him, but I'll definitely still be supporting him wherever he ends up.

Scots as people are just about the funniest nationality in the world, for every DC who has a great sense of humor there's a PDR, he probably is a good guy, just we never really saw it. His funny side anyway. The thing is it's a bit rich who he gets slagged from, most of the drivers have the charisma of a dead fish these days, I can't think of anyone who seems like a genuinely decent guy, except maybe Webber, certainly of the more exposed drivers. Alonso just moans about everything, hardly smiles, Hamilton just comes across to me as being a bit fake, when he says a lot of things trying to be cool he's just cringey. Massa was always a baby, Vettel he's not so bad, Kimi I could imagine is a bit of a muppet but has quite a fan attracting personality.

Hope Paul get's another chance but there's a good chance he won't it's a shame, watching him in DTM I thought he was something special, he obviously has a great talent for driving though, going from touring cars to scoring a point in his first race in only 6 months shows there's potential. FI just really beat themselves with rubbish calls in quali early in the year otherwise they would have beat Mclaren imo, once the new tyres came in it was a downward spiral. If his season had been the other way round he would still be in F1, no doubt about it.

Sadly, he got a chance at probably the worst circuit for Williams.

I'm expecting him to drive a strong race tomorrow. Want him to finish ahead of Stroll atleast.

If the rumours are true that Massa has the same illness as Martin Brundle (viral labrynthitis) and it keeps him out for a number of races it will be interesting to see how well Di Resta does with at least one full race weekend in the car, if he does well could he possibly be a candidate to replace Massa next year should Williams decide not to keep him?

The continuity might be valued but 32 (by then) but I'm pretty sure there would be alternatives that are more attractive, i.e younger, more backing, more recent race experience etc.
