Hi all,

I have been a F1 fan for a long time but I have started to REALLY follow all races for a few years.

big Hamilton fan, he got me back to F1 after I kind of lost interest after Schumi domination (he actually keeps me here with actual Vettel domination)

Hi all, I guess I'll make post #1 here.

Born and raised in good ol' Austin, Texas, but live in the DFW Metroplex now.

I'm a Hamilton, RoGro, Kimi, and Hulk fan. See you all Sunday!

I registered a while back, but this is my first post.

I was exposed to F1 growing up in Panama... my favorites were the Brazilians of the 70's & 80's: Fittipaldi, Piquet, and of course, Ayrton Senna. Moved stateside in '89 (Texas) and followed the sport a bit less, but stopped watching completely after Senna's death in 1994. My interest sparked again when my employer at the time became a large sponsor of Williams in 2000 (the R.Schumacher / Montoya years) and have been following since.

So, I am a few hours from Circuit of The Americas in Austin, Texas and have made the trip there for the 2012 race and just came back from the 2nd race... and looking forward to many, many more races at CoTA!

Hi, everyone! I was a big F1 fan as a kid, but lost interest as I got older. My interest was recently revived after seeing Rush. Last weekend, I watched my first Grand Prix in 30 years! Now I'm wondering why I ever stopped.

Hi everybody, my name is Rob. I've been into F1 since Nigel Mansell won the drivers championship in 1992. I have been to a couple of races, Portugal in 1993 and Silverstone in 2001.

Looking forward to discussing all the topics surrounding F1 and reading other peoples views.

Hello everyone,

Have been reading and following this forum for ages and finally created an account. :)
I'm from 1984, so even though I'm not that old I've been watching F1 all my life. I remember races from 1990 quite vividly, for example, like the GP on Paul Ricard in which the Leyton Houses were 1-2 for a long time.

At the moment I don't really support any particular team or driver, although I have some favourites like RoGro, Hulkenberg and Van der Garde (being Dutch of course).

Cheers, Llotyhy

Hi everyone.

I've been visiting PlanetF1 for years, but have finally bitten the bullet and made an account!
I've been watching F1 since I was 5 years old when Lauda won the Italian Grand Prix in 1984. I've been addicted since!

I've been to Spa, Silverstone and finally managed to get to Monza last year where I took my girlfriend for her first race.

I'm a massive JB and McLaren fan. Here's hoping for a great 2014!!

Hey, I'm Herb.

A long time reader, and I registered a while ago, but forgot to chase up my account activation.

I am form England and have avidly followed F1 over the last few years - but my real motorsport interest has always been the UK short ovals (BriSCA F1).

Tufty seems to have disappeared, so even though I'm not sure if I'm qualified to say so, it seems unfair if you guys don't get one, so:

Hi everyone, new member joining in. I have been a fanatic F1 watcher since 1999 when I was just nine years old. I used to just view the forum threads, but now I have reached a point in which I also want to contribute to some topics.

My favourite team is McLaren, but I also support or sympathize with other teams and drivers in the field. As a Dutchman, I naturally support any fellow countryman entering the sport.

Phew ! It might have taken me almost close to half a year to get registered !! But yes, finally I am here !! I have been following planetf1 for like the past few years but then started following f1 when Mika got his first WDC, It's been one hell of a ride seeing how F1 has evolved over the years and I would certainly be looking for 2014 - to me the biggest advancement in F1 has to be 2014. Like it or not, for sure its gonna be exiting than ever before.

And finally thanks to the planetf1 team for immediately responding to my mail.

KIMI for WDC 2014 !!! Forza Ferrari !!!

Hi All,

Long time lurker finally taking the plunge...

I started following F1 after seeing the Tamiya model of the Lotus 72 as a kid and was at Silverstone when the Tyrell P34 made its first public demo run at the International Trophy race in April '76. (Pits Grandstand, Block F, Row B, Seat 33, £7.50)

I was an engineering student during the first Turbo era and I am definitely looking forward to the second!

I respect any driver that makes it to F1, but as I prefer to watch a Mansell or a Senna rather than a Prost,I find myself rooting for Hamilton these days. My kids support Vettel, which has been most annoying, so I am hoping for a shake-up this year.

Over the years my favourite drivers have driven for most of the established teams, but today I would say Mercedes, McLaren & Caterham (+ Sauber as I live in Switzerland and Peter Sauber is a real gentleman).

Hi everyone!

I'm an Aussie living in the UK, and I've been an F1 fan since 2009, when my then-boyfriend introduced me to it. I was vaguely interested because I went to the same high school as Mark Webber (not at the same time) and wanted to support him, and then got absolutely hooked on the sport itself.

So yeah, obviously a bit of a Webber fan and was thinking this year would be a bit boring without him but I've been proven wrong already. Not hard to guess that I'm a big supporter of Daniel Ricciardo - and I think he's shaping up to be a very exciting driver, and it'll be interesting to see how he handles this season.

Also a fan of Hamilton, Alonso, Raikkonen. Also wish Paul DiResta would get another go because I always found him very interesting to watch.

Oh, and I married the guy who got me into Formula 1. So I call that a win, on both counts!

:)

Hello All,

A completely new fan here, just started getting interested in F1 after this year's Austrailian GP. Residing in USA, and currently a student pharmacist.

Currently a fan of McLaren and Button, but still enjoy watching Ricciardo fight against his bad luck this year in an effort to place.

Looking forward to learning more about the sport and making friends!

Hi all,

Been a keen follower of F1 since the late '70s, went to my first race in '81, came home under "armalat 5" after Nelson Piquet crashed out in front of us an my friend picked up the largest souvenir he could carry. Saw my hero, Elio de Angelis win in Austria in '82 (shortly after knocking Nikki Lauda over in the paddock and Alain Prost's Renault go bang in front of the grandstand.

Looking forward to seeing how the rule changes pan out, best shake up of the grid in years! I'm going to the race day events at the Williams factory for the Austrian and Singapore races, generally enjoying the season - largely because I don't care who wins, just like safe racing and mercedes have kept the battles going all the way to the front.

Can't wait for the drivers to dial into the cars (I'm looking at you Seb!), and for the teams to deliver on race day strategy (and you mclaren & Williams). The return of Honda is another wild card that will keep the mix going next year.
