hi all, im new, I'm 51 years old, and watched f1 since hakkanen days. i was a avid mclaren fan. till this team messed lewis up. ever since button arrrived i did not like him joining mclaren. he's a real big head, carnt stand the bloke. i still followed the team right up till lewis left, i now can see what button and whitmarsh have been up to. I've never followed any driver leaving a team but i will lewis. tho till whitmarsh and button go ill follow mclaren again. anyway lads ill will have some good banter with you all lol.

Been lurking here for ages...
Bit of an Alonso fan, don't care much for the media drama, but love his tenacity.
Appreciate Lewis as well, generally rooting for the driver who's on it with a vengeance.

cheers!

Greetings from Chicago, Illinois, USA.

I name is based on the location of the 1980 Winter Olympiad.

I like to thank the moderators for accepting me my membeship.

It was hard o follow up F1 when I was a teen. During my childhood in Mexico, I enjoy motorsports other than the NFL, Baseball, hockey, etc. And I am a die-hard US fan. Just like the Cubs. What I like about this sport is that I like to follow-up on US talent attempting to reach the pinnacle of motorsport. But also here and there, like to enjoy to have fun. Especially on captions. What I like about these captions, I like to place a nice storyline for drivers, owners from F1 and from other motorsport series like Indycar and MotoGP. Once I see I photo, I become creative and place my storyline.

For example: About the Michael Schumacher comeback in which he has to place himself on a diet. This is why I like to make punchlines.

Thank You.

FOR EVERY FORUM MEMBER: WE WISH YOU FOR ALL OF YOU AND YOUR FAMILIES A HAPPY THANKGIVING!!!!!!

Hi everyone, I have been reading this forum for many years & finally decided to register & am still not sure why. Just thought it was time. I am a 54 year old Australian female, married to an American for 25 years who is 10 years older with an Italian background that has been here in Oz so long he considers himself an Australian, that is, until we have a discussion that somehow involves American/Australian differences. Makes for some interesting discussions :). I grew up with 3 older brothers that were totally into cars & the middle brother was a Marshal at Bathurst for many years when I was younger so I couldn't really avoid having an interest in motor racing.

I will be totally upfront & tell everyone that I am a long time Ferrari fan, have been a fan of Michael Schumacher as well as Fernando Alonso since they first started racing in F1. Before that I was an Ayrton Senna & Alain Prost fan &, unfortunately, watched the race where Senna died. It was one of the saddest days in my husband's & my life as F1 fans.

I do have a broad interest in motor racing & watch not only F1 but V8 Supercars, NASCAR & MotoGP bike racing & I do race reports for another forum I go to for all of the different categories. I used to love Indy Cars before the category was stuffed up & have always kept up with what is happening with World Rallying, Le Mans, World Superbikes & basically, as my husband says, anything that has an engine, makes noise & goes fast.

Job wise, I am the Registrar & 2IC for a College that is involved in Psychology & I love my job. Other than that I love Tufty's worm in his avator & his purple beard, makes me laugh constantly &, that's about it.

Well, i've been following F1 since the first USGP at Indy. Memory isnt as sharp as it should be but this year is the first that I've truly followed every race so I figured I needed to sign up.

Dont really have a favorite driver but I do root for the smaller teams more often than not.

Hi, Im an avid F1 fan and never miss a race on TV.I'm a fan of good clean racing, which doesnt mean I dont have my own favourites, but if someone wins fair and square then it's fine by me.
Reading the various comments, I see some very knowledgeable people out there. Hope I can learn from you.

Hello people!

Been watching F1 for a number of years, on and off since about '96, but have loved it for the past 5 or so years. Big McLaren fan, even though they haven't been great recently, big Button fan aswell, glad the circus of Lewis has gone, will be interesting to see what happens next year, this year was epic, but I think next year will be even better!

Hi guys, long time formula 1 fan. Fan of McLaren and Lewis Hamilton.

Used to hate Fernando Alonso on the back of his 'behaviour' at mclaren but have nothing but admiration for how to mananaged to take an inferior Ferrari on the brink of the drivers title in brazil.

Few gripes, don't like the pirelli tyres which go off. Would rather see the drivers hammer it round full tilt for every lap without having to worry about the tyres, rather than nursing them half a Grand Prix.

Also, Bernie is a buffoon. sooner he steps down the better.

Hello all, another UK F1 fan here.

I've been following F1 casually since 2008 and avidly since 2010. I'm the Hamilton fan in a family of Button fans.

Hello everyone!

My name's Antonio and I've been watching this sport since I was only 10, the 98 season to be exact, with a reigning Hakkinen winning the championship and I just chose "Minardista" as my username because I have a thing with Minardi, always struggling and being kind of a school for newcomers. Nostalgia well said.

Hoping to have a good time on this forum!

Dear mods, thanks for activating my account!

I've been lurking all season but figured I'd start posting. There seems to be a lot of irrational attacking of drivers, but I also appreciate those posters who have been posting thoughtful and interesting information/insights!

I've been a casual F1 fan for a long time due to living in the U.S. and not having DVR until recently. 2012 brought me back into it in a big way. I think the catalyst was when my wife bought us tickets to the Canadian GP for our first race spectating weekend! We both got hooked immediately and had the pleasure of attending the inaugural Austin GP, that did not disappoint.

At any rate, I hope I can bring a unique perspective as I also do amateur club racing as a hobby and I'm also planning on attending a few more races next year.

I have been watching F1 for the past decade or so and I love the sport. Moreover, being a mechanical engineer and a formula student graduate I am particularly interested in the technical aspect that Formula 1 offers. Big fan of Raikkonen, Newey, Todt and Brawn.

Hi to everyone on the forum!
I've been watching F1 since 1999 and have been a big fan of Jordan/Midland/Spyker/FI ever since. I'm an Anglo-Italian who doesn't support either Mclaren or Ferrari, which I guess is rare.
Anyway, I look forward to some good debates on the forum.

Hi all. I've been lurking for a long time and thought I'd finally sign up to give me something to do over the off season. Been watching F1 for as long as I can remember. Avid Button and Raikkonen fan. Not so keen (to put it mildly) on Vettel or Hamilton. Oh, and I'm a girl! I look forward to getting to know you all and sharing thoughts and opinions. :)

Evening all, I registered in the pre-season earlier this year, but after going through the authorisation completely forgot I'd done it.

A quick history - my first full season watching F1 was back in 1993 (at six years old), with Kyalami being the first full race I watched. As a result, I was a big Damon Hill fan and my early days followed Williams as a result. However, this being F1 Hill's departure meant I switched with him to Arrows for the next few years until their eventual demise in 2002. Again searching for a new team I opted for BAR/Honda due to Jenson signing alongside Jacques Villeneuve, the team I'd stick with until the Mercedes takeover after the Brawn GP season. Not fussed with supporting Mercedes, I opted to head back to the team who started when I did and currently find myself supporting Sauber.

Yet to attend a GP, despite this being my 20th year following F1. However, I'm also a massive MotoGP fan and a big fan of Motorsport in general and already can't wait for the 2013 national & international series to get underway!

So i decided to bite the bullet and get an account up and ruinning on here.
Well i've follwed F1 since 97 was a massive Hakkinen fan and was gutted when he retired in 01. Since then I have always been a fan of mclaren and have followed Kimi Raikkonen and also like Alonso and Hamilton and i believe that they are currently the 3 best drivers on the grid. I have a massive amount of respect for Mark Webber and hope he can get one over Vettel sooner rather than later and hope that Felipe continues his form into 2013 as i think he really could give Fernando a run for his money and hopefully Ferrari politics do not get in the way of what could be a season long battle.

Hi all,

I've tried doing a search for the info I want (Monza Tickets & best seats) but just cannot find what I want, either I'm doing something wrong or my access is restricted.

I was about to open a new thread asking for advice but I can't do that either, what do I need to do or who do I PM to sort this out?

Thanks
