Hamilton to finish 3rd or 2nd here.
I’m surprised he hasn’t caught up to Sainz quicker
I think he knows that Max can't be caught so perhaps he's not wanting to risk another off or ruining his tyres. Pace his way through to second.

3 out of the 4 drivers in the top teams have either had a bad race or messed up pretty badly today. Verstappen is looking comfortably the best today out of them.

And although no solution is perfect, Lewis going off, taking ages to get out of the gravel, doing nearly an entire lap with a broken wing, pitting to change the wing and being a lap down, now probably finishing in second, is rather silly for such a high profile sport.

 Lewis does seem to get the rub of the green a lot.

Wouldn't be shocked to see another safety car and Lewis to take the W

DRS train may prevent Hamilton from getting any further.

Helps both Norris and Leclerc for Leclerc to stay in DRS range

Well, if there was ever a brilliant example of why DRS is giving too much advantage, that was it. Never got close when both were using it, passed well before the corner when Leclerc didn't have it.

First lap Leclerc gets no DRS and Hamilton breezes past

Hopefully the season keeps this flavour going!!

I'm less amused and more saddened. Not because it's Lewis, but because the rules allow such a situation to occur.

HAM reversed on the track - isn't that an automatic penalty? Can someone with more knowledge of the rules clarify?

Actually, that's what went through my mind when it happened. In the gravel trap is allowed, but not sure about coming back on to track like that.

Yeah I expected a 3 point turn, not a Forza-style reset in slow motion.

No. You can't reverse in the pitlane but you can on track, unless you pose a risk to others while rejoining.

just to say, Norris did the same as Bottas. A slight jerk to the right and not that much room on the right, but easily enough. I will be surprised if Russell doesn't get some sort of penalty really as it was his over reaction that caused the chaos and other drivers have managed to get the same sort of move done cleanly.

Good drive by Max, but he was so close to spinning before the restart. A few degrees more and he would have blown it!

Enjoyed that race. Norris driver of the day for me, superb. Smashed Ricciardo again.

Verstappen very good, Hamilton got big luck and made good on that luck. Not Perez’s finest day.

Ferrari should be pretty happy with their weekend.

When that happened, he was partly on the grass I think. Could Leclerc have legitimately passed him and kept the lead?
