Is there any word on whether teams will get choice of how many of each compound they will take or is it the same as last year where everyone gets the same?

Editing to add: The Race are reporting everyone gets the same like last year.

Aston Martin keep teasing with close ups of their upcoming merchandise wear. If the same color combination is going to be on their '21 car, I reckon Aston Martin's car will be the most pretty to see!

We all knew Perez had a good amount of sponsors all this these years, which was a plus. A few more have joined the bandwagon. A sponsor (Red Cola) is leaving though.

Checo completed 2 days of running. Never seen him so happy & confident as he said he already got accustomed to the handling of the car & all of the procedures relating to the car & Honda engine output. Real excited to see his progress.Today, he will drive the RB16B as well.

BWT remains with Aston Martin (wasn't expecting this)! Don't know if the Pink coloration will be visible anywhere on the AM livery or not.
https://www.astonmartinf1.com/en-GB/art ... s-with-bwt

Update from the AM website:
'While the look and feel of the new team, to be launched on Wednesday 3rd March, will be very different, featuring an all-new base colour, today’s news ensures that subtle BWT brand accents, as well as BWT brand logos, will remain a feature of the all-new Aston Martin Cognizant Formula One™ Team livery.'

Checo after getting to drive the older spec RB car & the latest one, had these words as feedback to say:

“One of the things that caught my attention in the simulator and then the car is the level of grip at the front end.

I can immediately understand why not all drivers can optimise this car. It is not easy to extract the best from it, but if you do find that window, which is difficult to find, you can be quite fast.

“It’s a car that requires quite a peculiar driving style. Very specific. But it is a super car.”

I'm hoping this too, but can't help but feel we'll be let down, especially now they've stuck with BWT (how are they going to fit the pink into it??)

AM has the potential to be the best livery but, ever the pessimist, I just have this feeling it's going to be a let down and the fan mock ups we get over the next few weeks will look way better. Hope I'm wrong though.

It seems pretty obvious the change to include pink on the AM livery was last minute following the BWT deal. All of the team gear and the safety car have the usual neon green highlights, as was likely planned on the F1 car initially.

Shame as I think it would look a lot better, and I find it surprising that AM would give up a key part of its branding/image too.

Hadn’t noticed that on the Haas! I think they did say they’re prioritising 2022 over 2021 which may make sense but I don't have much confidence in them doing a better job in 2022 than they have 2019/2020.

These weren't leaked, the website was just poorly made so people could access the images early. Unless of course it's a double bluff. It does seem that Mercedes have tricked Ferrari into spending development tokens on making their livery look like it's been as badly watermarked as a stolen image uploaded to reddit.

The reason as to why Vettel has switched to a Pink helmet for this season is because BWT have signed him as a brand ambassador for sustainability efforts. This is a personal sponsorship.

After Grosjean's departure from F1, George Russell has been elected the Director of the GPDA.

"It is an honour and privilege to be nominated director of the GPDA..."
Was Russell nominated by his fellow drivers? If so, how much does that say about his presence - as what I'd call a relative junior?

I was thinking the same, he's had 2 seasons in F1 so far, he is a young driver. I would expect someone with at least 5 years in the sport, but I'm happy for him, this probably goes to show what his peers think of him, which is great.
