Perez extents a good gap and he may even overcut Sainz for a podium here. But when is the F1 community finally going to appreciate Sainz? I suppose maybe next year...
Maybe... but who's to say Leclerc won't smash him?!

2021 is super fascinating given where the top drivers are sprinkled and the new match-ups.

I think Sainz will be just fine though, and a reliable points hoover for Ferrari.
Charles seems faster but less reliable than Sainz.

Too many 1st lap incidents in 2020 to convince me that he is the apex predator that people make him out to be...

B) Lewis looks over rated and diminishes his achievments
Any excuse I suppose? I take it Schumacher is overrated for being paired with Barrichello and Massa.
Indeed, any excuse to diminish Hamilton of course... Personally seeing how lost Bottas is (look how close verstappen was to them in quali, shame we will not be able to see in the race) without being able to copy Hamilton shows the Vue of having a strong team leader
Did Mika Salo jump into Schumacher's Ferrari and dominate races?
LOL comparing Mika Salo to George Russell.... George is obviously a huge talent

I do think Leclerc is the quickest in one lap right now in F1. But for how long will Leclerc continue to wreck his races, especially when he probably won't receive any penalties from being comfortable with Jean Todt and co.? If Sainz closely follows behind Leclerc, then that for me is a huge achievement, especially considering it's Leclerc's team now.

Russell is extremely mature in the situation. Mercedes probably have all the data they need already to make a decision for 2022.

LOL..Show we his qualifying position and his race pace
German GP 1999. Salo qualified the Ferrari in 4th, Irvine 5th.
Salo was cruising to a win but backed off and gifted the win to Irvine for the sake of the championship.

Guys, Schumacher retired in 2012. Don't worry though, Schumacher is back for 2021.

Russell seems good for the win right now, but I have a funny feeling there's plenty more to play out in the second half.

Russel has this wrapped up..The start of the race was Bottas' best chance... Russell's confidence will only increase as he drives more in the lead.. TBH it doesn't seem like he is even pushing...He has Bottas BEAT...Bottas was lucky to qualify on pole by 0.02 sec..It would have been the final nail on the coffin for him..

I think Leclerc just said he was at fault for the first lap incident.
.

I don't think so !

( From BBC )

'It was a mistake by Checo'
Charles Leclerc, speaking to Sky Sports about the lap-one incident: "Basically I was in fifth, I think I was side-by-side a bit behind Max and tried to overtake him.

I fully expected to see Checo [Serio Perez] but I expected him to go around the outside but I think he decided to go on the inside and I was there and it was too late.

"I think if it was a mistake on Checo but I'm not putting the blame on Checo."

He certainly came in and was faster than Irvine, is anyone here calling the 1999 Ferrari dominant?

No matter how many times you write LOL, it doesn't change the fact that Salo basically won that race, plus the 99 Ferrari wasn't anywhere near the dominant car this year's Mercedes is. So, Salo, although not totally dominating the race, won it.

I will add, I'm a lifelong Ferrari fan since I got into the sport in the mid 80's and Schumacher is an absolute idol of mine. I was lucky enough to meet him at the launch of the F2001, in Maranello. However, I am not blind to the fact that he often had a very good car and significantly slower teammates.
