Not working very well today either. If it's about server capacity, I hope they increase it soon because the load's only going to get bigger as the season draws closer.

I keep getting messages that the forum is down, then when I refresh I get a white background with blue type but with the various links... when I click on the F1 & Motorsports link, it takes me back to the way it should be. Also, I have to re-login anytime I do not use the forum for an hour or so even though I click the little box to keep me logged in (this has been going on for months).

What's happening?

Did lt. Drebin's comment really need deleting from the force India livery thread? It was no more sexist than Suzzie Wolfe driving a pink car in DTM, colour marketing for children's toys or even adult products. I think that if the forum is going to start censoring any post which someone may be unnecessarily, overly offended by, you may as well shut the forum down.

I was going to leave it, but there was a level of hypocrisy that we couldn't ignore when Drebin then reported those calling him sexist for being libellous.

Ok, well fair enough, at least you your reasons :)

Before anyone says it, I've actually had the forum white screening on me from the start for a change - report just sent in.

Been getting the HTTP 500 error on my phone all day, Android/Chrome if that helps anything.

Reported this morning, waiting for an answer now. Most likely the same problem it always is, made worse by rugby and F1 both having busy weekends.

Getting a lot of white screens again this morning, strange that it seems fine during race weekends when traffic is at its highest.

Seems to be working now. Sorry, was travelling when the complaints came in. I'll mention it to the techies but I can't promise a fix.

Looks like it's fixed itself for now, I haven't had any problems since this afternoon.

Unfortunately it keeps having to fix itself. There's an intermittent fault with one server, which for whatever reason eludes repair.

Is it just me that's getting adverts in the posts themselves now?

A couple seem to be breaking the site too.

I've just noticed them too. What do you mean by breaking, not seen any problems with them beyond them existing?

Edit: Scratch that last bit, I've just seen what it's done to the columns within subforums.

Marketing 101: don't break your billboard.

Even the ones that don't break the layout are very annoying. I've always left the adverts turned on on this site when on pc. Time to find an ad blocker for my phone too.

Fair warning, adblock doesn't work completely. I've turned it on and started getting bounced at random to eBay. I've complained but I can't promise a positive outcome.

No worries - I know it's not the mods doing!

This is a common issue among all the '365' sites, F365 has been bouncing me to ebay on mobile for about a week now. Other adverts just freeze the page for about 20 seconds, which is just as annoying. Dunno what the guys are playing at but its a pretty short walk from being forcibly pushed onto another site via an advert and me not visiting that site anymore. Granted its out of your control but perhaps you know someone who could perhaps pass the message on.

I wasn't aware it was across all sites, but I share the sentiment and will pass the message on now. I can only apologise in the meantime until something gets done.

Possibly time to merge the Vettel/Hamilton threads?

Sorry for the delayed responses, slight lack of internet for me at the moment.

Zoue - will report again.

Flash - Possibly something to do with what Zoue reported, those issues tend to spike at the same time. I've certainly not deleted any posts recently [although I'm about to go through the race thread...] so not guilty on that one. I'll check the logs as well just to be sure.

Mikey - Probably, will decide when I see them.

Two of the Hamilton/Vettel threads are polls, so they can't really be merged. I think that leaves the thread about investigation and the race thread. I think that we could just make the investigation one the main one and merge any new ones into that.

The http://forum.planet-f1.com link to the forum is currently switching between 404 errors, and offering me the chance to log into the broadband router that the server is apparently directing to. This really isn't a great thing, so you should probably pass it on to the tech guys, especially if whatever router you are running that through is running off of default settings.

The http://forum.planetf1.com link is working fine.

Blank pages again, fairly constant since the end of the race. Going to assume its a weight of traffic issue.

Edit: Just noticed PF1-Mod hasn't logged in since the end of August, hope that lack of internet hasn't become terminal ._.

The forum's not going to keep its member base if it's like this every time something interesting happens on track.

To be honest, there isn't really all that many of us left lol. Dolomite's thread on predicted wins has a lot of old names in it that are long banned.... perhaps after this season is done an amnesty for old misbehaving users could be considered?

Still getting blank pages/pages with no stylesheet.

The weight of traffic argument falls down here unless you are sharing servers with the football guys (which is probably the case)

Seconded. Especially the ones banned during the rule of a certain tyrant...
