Something about that looks like a recipe for shunt and punt to me
Max didn't even make it to lap 1

Aye, sky praising him to the hills as if he is the 2nd coming walking on water as he sails off into the wall on an installation lap

I don't know if I'm more surprised that Verstappen crashed or that Grosjean didn't.

Yeah. Bent wishbone easily. And the team are fixing it on the grid now.

Yeah. I did say max was one of the best in the rain. I'm not saying he is the second coming. But he would normally be one of the favourites for the win.

How would you do that though, Its not as though you need to warm the tyres up or are these tyres different?

Hmm, the national anthem looked like another slightly pointless example of social distancing. I also noticed Bottas didn't weak his mask. but honestly, the teams design of most teams masks are so rubbish that they just don't stay on properly without constant adjustment. I honestly think almost every other driver touched their face more than Bottas to keep the mask on correctly. Still, I'm unsure why Bottas didn't wear his.

Yep designing an F1 car seems easier than designing a mask! Oddly Mercedes and Racing Point masks are distinctly similar!

Interestingly I don't think the current grid is generally particularly standout in the wet. Obviously Hamilton is mega but I could more easily pick out drivers who struggle in the wet (Perez, Bottas, Leclerc, Grosjean, Ricciardo) than drivers that thrive - Hamilton, Verstappen, perhaps Ocon...

But they do take the chance to test lines around the corners and check the grip levels. Max clearly went over the limit a little.

The only thing that I think can allow Bottas to get away with that was if he didn't quite leave his grid box.

Well I don't know why Bottas's jump start is taking so much time to investigate. Not even any confimation on no further action or anything. Like Vettel in Japan last year, I think it looked like Bottas moved and stopped just in time to not trigger the sensor which may explain things.

The difference (so far) this weekend between Perez and Stroll has been huge!

Perrez under pressure from Ricciardo and Stroll ahead by nearly 20 seconds. Stroll is looking outstanding at the moment. But I hope this will continue.

Jeez. Get rid of these stupid inaccurate graphics!

Bottas is within striking distance of Verstappen in 22 laps, then a few laps later, down to 6. These are totally meaningless and incorrect.

A total waste of time and space.

Pitting for softs, why take the risk for 1 point, a bodged pitstop away from disaster.

These are the of margins that show the difference between the likes of Hamilton and Bottas. Bottas could not do what Hamilton did last year, I think we all know Hamilton would have gotten 2nd there, drivers make the small but important differences
