Always unfortunate to hear. I hope he beats it and gets back to commenting before the Formula E season is even over.

Makes sense now why he hasn't joined the rest of the team in the formula e presentation.

Wishing him all the best and hope he recovers fully to join up.with the rest of the formula e broadcast team soon.

That's too bad. I wish him well. Ironically a trip I have been looking at for 2021 to Monaco features him as a guide for the tour. I hope we get to see him then.

This breaks my heart. He was instrumental in helping me keep my spirits up when I lost my job in 2008.
His words resonated deeply and his sincerity and advice was priceless. Hoping you beat this so we hear
your voice for many, MANY more years.

Saddening to hear. I really, really enjoyed his commentary when he was doing F1. Really sharp guy.

Probably the best motorsport broadcaster I have heard. Head and sholders above Crofty or Diffey.

I hope he can beat the cancer!!!

Understatement of this new decade. LOL
Bob is an attorney who practiced successfully for a number of years before transitioning to his life long passion for motorsport and he was a natural from early on, and on top of being excellent at what he does, he's also one of the nicest guys. Really hoping he beats this.

My bet is that Varsha will end up donating any proceeds from this GoFundMe campaign. He is well off and I'd imagine has excellent medical insurance through his employer, and someone of his prominent stature would have his employer stand by his side and ensure he has everything he needs to recovery as well and as quickly as possible.

marshall pruett, a friend and fellow motor racing journalist, started it. some treatments can drain even the very wealthy, especially experimental.
any left over and like you said, i imagine he donates it. just wishing him well. i think we all know treatment sucks, too put it lightly
