It's true he wants to give his son every possible chance to succeed but ultimately he's a petrol head, he loves racing and I've no doubt he loves owning a F1 team, I don't think it lives and dies on the need for his son to be one of the drivers?

I am sure it is his sole motivation.

Mate, if this is true that it's sad. It's not as if his son is racing in PS4 F1 2019 game where can be equipped with certain aids to make him consistent & faster. So what if Lance di win a few titles in his junior career, it doesn't mean he'll flourish in F1. Hulkenberg & Vandoorne are the best examples to prove my point here.

I was reading that in return for Stroll's investment into Aston Martin they will paying so much sponsorship per year into the F1 team, the level of which will cover Stroll's investment after 5 years and the contract is for 10 years, I think you might be being a bit naive in not thinking this might not be a shrewd business arrangement by Lawrence Stroll?

Stroll is very savvy, it's true he spent a lot of money on his son's career but as far as the F1 team is concerned he gets external sources to sponsor the team and doesn't spend the kind of money some may think he might spend.

I'm not sure who's opinions these are of Aston Martin, I for one are of the understanding that their contribution will be £30M per year for 10 years so it's reasonable sponsorship but not what like we see with the likes of Mercedes and Ferrari.

I wouldn't call AM a Giant in the automobile industry. They are a niche luxury sports car brand, but that's as far as it goes. It's a fact that AM have found themselves circling the drain multiple times only for someone to place the drain plug right before they disappear into the abyss. Today they're in a slightly better position financially, but that's thanks in great part to the orders of the Valkyrie, but that's not enough to sustain themselves long term, and I suspect Stroll will promote and help grow the brand properly and maybe they can produce complete cars of their own design.
