9. Budapest
I'll add a most memorable moment which for me was Alonso staring at Vettel celebrating winning the 2012 championship.
Re: 2010-19 - end of a decade
1. Driver of the decade - Lewis Hamilton. Whilst I'd consider Alonso to have been better over the course of their respective careers, when we're talking about this decade his achievements only span the first half of it.
2. Team of the decade - Mercedes. Obviously.
3. Race of the decade - Bahrain 2014
4. Lap of the decade - Lewis Hamilton, Monza 2017
5. Season of the decade - 2012

According to some (and the modified Julian date) the decade doesn't end until at the end of 2020.

Re: 2010-19 - end of a decade
Please don't start! For the purposes of this thread the OP has named the decade in question 2010-2019. The decade that ends at the end of 2020 is the 202nd decade of the Gregorian calendar, not the 2010s.Covalent wrote:According to some (and the modified Julian date) the decade doesn't end until at the end of 2020.

Re: 2010-19 - end of a decade
Way over rated IMO. He lost his back end and just about managed to collect it. Senna saw him there and left room. There are two possible answers here:F1 MERCENARY wrote: 10. Overtake of the decade – MASSA on Senna In Singapore 2012
1. Webber/Alonso and Kimi/MSC at Eau Rouge
2. The entire career of Kamui Kobayashi, although overtaking Vettel in the Caterham gets it, just for lols.
Anyway, my list:
Driver - Hamilton - Phenomenal every year except '11.
Team - Merc - Even early Red Bull can't argue with that surely.
Race - Canada '11
Lap - For excitement maybe the last one in Austria '16, Canada '11 or the first in Singapore '17.
Single race performance - Just because I'm a fan, Kobayashi scoring a podium on genuine pace, without attrition, in a Sauber, in his home race.
Moment - Too many to choose but I'll say being at Silverstone in 2014, seeing Hamilton reeling in Rosberg and the crowd going nuts when the latter broke down.
Controversy - Spa 2014. I think after Monaco that tipped a few fans over the edge. I was there, he was booed rotten on the podium.
Track - As always, and I hope for ever more; Spa
I remember when this website was all fields.
Re: 2010-19 - end of a decade
I would argue also 2013. But 2 years out of 10 is still pretty darned impressive.Banana Man wrote:Driver - Hamilton - Phenomenal every year except '11.

7. Favourite moment of the decade – Schumacher's last podium, that was special to a Schumie fan!
8. Controversy/controversial moment of the decade – Probably Multi 21, although I loved it as Webber, a tough as nails/true grit guy, did the exact same thing the year before and acted like a hurt puppy this time around
10. Overtake of the decade – Can't really think of one, too much DRS

Yes 2013 because of the change of team but to his credit he did still managed to edge out Rosberg.Exediron wrote:I would argue also 2013. But 2 years out of 10 is still pretty darned impressive.Banana Man wrote:Driver - Hamilton - Phenomenal every year except '11.

Re: 2010-19 - end of a decade
Driver of the decade: Lewis Hamilton for obvious reasons
Team of the decade: Mercedes
Race of the decade: Canada 2011 obviously
Lap of the decade: Hamilton, Korea pole 2011
Season of the decade: 2010 without a doubt, 5 legitimate WDC contenders all vying for the title until the final race, incredible one of the best seasons of all time
Race performance of the decade: Really hard to pick one... I'll go for Hamilton Germany 2018 but to be honest could pick so many, maybe Alonso Valencia 2012 as well and Kobayashi getting podium in japan
Favourite moment of the decade: wow, maybe vettel crashing out in Germany (as a Hamilton fan this was brilliant) or slipping of the track on last lap of Canada 2011
Controversy: Felipe, Fernando is faster than you... Ooor "Not bad for a number two driver"1
Track of the decade: Malaysia is my favourite, really miss it.
