That list makes no sense and contradicts itself. Surely the quickest 2 stopper is S-S-M or any order of those tyres. Considering that in the one stopper they are saying M can do 33-37 laps.

The hards are probably quicker over that distance than the mediums.

But in one strategy it has hards for 35-41 and another mediums for 33-37 laps. So what is best for a 35-37 stint? They can’t be equal surely?

Yes on the mediums on the slower strategy. If you look at the fastest strategies it uses the hard for the long stint. The "slowest" strategy uses the medium. So they are consistent in saying the Hard is the quicker for the longer stint.

Wonder how many laps it will take Bottas to get in the top 6., and then how high can he finish? IMO a good drive should yield at least a podium.
Albon thinks he can mix it up with the Ferraris. I'll be interesting to follow
Unless Max can get in front of Lewis at the start it will be a boring win for Lewis.
Norris starting in front of Sainz; will be interesting to see if he can beat him
This circuit has a tendency to produce processional races, but we shall see, maybe a surprise is in the cards.

It's usually a processional race for the top 6 drivers as they're more bothered with saving tyres. The actual action is from 7th place downwards as most of the action is there. DRS zones on this track actually produce a good amount of overtakes.

Possible disqualification is being talked about. As petty a rule as it sounds, what an embarrassing error from Ferrari.

.

How "petty" is the offence ?

We don't know, but it is indicative of Ferrari's attitude to the regs.

I always feel a little sad at the last race of the season, not because we have to wait so long for another race but because this set of cars will never be raced again. All that work, money and development and except the odd bit of testing or media work, they'll do hardly anything ever again other than run up the hill at Goodwood.

The amount of fuel in the car going to the grid did not match what was declared to the stewards. I didn't even know such a rule exists, and there is no benefit I can see to breaking it so I don't see any malicious intent here. Just an administrative error, albeit a costly one.

Attitude? What are you on about. A cock up, probably.

Hamilton just can't read a race can he looking to cause panic were there is no need?

The sport would be spiced up no end if radio communication was banned for everything other than safety issues.

Well this race seems exciting.

It was disturbing hearing Crofty's comments regarding the increased safety car usage recently. Clearly he is in favour of artificial 'spicing up' of the racing.

Well, if, IF they have been pumping a bit more fuel through the engine via manipulating the sensor, that extra fuel has to come from somewhere, and declaring that you are running an abnormaly large amount of fuel every race would be a pretty big red flag. Tinfoil hat for sure, but it all does kinda tie in circumstancially.

Nothing will happen.

I hate Abu Dhabi as the season ending grand prix, the races here are always dull.

This is one of those races where I watched the first couple of laps and I knew that I didn't need to watch much more of the race.

Also Crofty talking about the battle for 6th in the WDC. Like anyone really cares about this, if it matters so much then why wasn't the battle for 6th in the WDC mentioned in many other earlier rounds of the season?

I know it's very annoying it's like having such a long race is too boring for him.

That williams is looking better here than at other tracks. Vettel was pretty slow to catch kubica and was behind him for a while. Bottas got by quicker, but kubica nearly got by him. Their speed is certainly good anyway. But maybe the corners is their weekness.

Well we know this, quick on the straight but slow around the corners.

Albon looking slow again. Bottas has him beat from the back of the grid.
