The result from the Mexican vote is as follows:
Mercedes
TMW race winner: Hamilton (92%)
Hamilton 14 - 4 Bottas
Hamilton 73% - 27% Bottas
While confirmation of a sixth WDC had to wait another race, Lewis Hamilton rebounded from a rare weekend where Bottas had him beat (and a rare PF1 TMW defeat) to secure a comprehensive 14th TMW win of 2019. His percentage of the vote has crept up again as well meaning he's now almost taken 3/4 of the votes for the season at Mercedes.
Ferrari
TMW race winner: Vettel (77%)
Vettel 11 - 7 Leclerc
Vettel 48% - 52% Leclerc
The last of the original 10 TMWs from 2019 to be settled was that of Ferrari. I use the term 'was' because a third TMW win in four races has allowed Sebastian Vettel to do what we all expected him to do - secure the 2019 TMW win at Ferrari. The question now is whether he can overturn Charles' slender advantage on the percentage side of things, currently trailing by just 17 votes across the entire year, or whether Charles can pad that out and bring the overall score a little closer, too.
Red Bull
TMW race winner: Albon (81%)
Verstappen 2 - 4 Albon
Verstappen 35% - 65% Albon
Six races as teammates, four TMW wins for Alex Albon. We are now at the point where Max has to win all the remaining votes to avoid what would be a shock defeat in this admittedly truncated TMW vote. Even if Max overturns the deficit, Alex Albon's consistent performances to this point have surely done enough to keep him that seat in 2020.
Renault
TMW race winner: Ricciardo (96%)
Ricciardo 14 - 4 Hulkenberg
Ricciardo 61% - 39% Hulkenberg
It's now six TMW victories in a row for the likeable Australian. Is this a consequence of Ricciardo getting more comfortable at the Enstone team and, perhaps more importantly, more comfortable with the car, or is this dominance as much down to Nico Hulkenberg knowing he's out of F1 at the end of the year and almost going out with a whimper? Whether it's either of those, or perhaps a combination of the two, Ricciardo is setting the bar quite high ahead of a new challenge in Esteban Ocon for 2020.
Haas
TMW race winner: Magnussen (91%)
Magnussen 13 - 4 Grosjean
Magnussen 64% - 36% Grosjean
After the excitement of a tie in the last race - which, let's be honest, is about the most exciting Haas/TMW write up there has been for a long time - Mexico returned us to the usual completely forgettable Haas race pace. Kevin Magnussen had the least bad race and extends the advantage he holds over Romain Grosjean.
McLaren
TMW race winner: Sainz (74%)
Sainz 12 - 6 Norris
Sainz 54% - 46% Norris
Carlos Sainz has, all of a sudden, motored away from his rookie teammate a little. He now boasts twice the number of TMW wins for the year after picking up his third in a row (Norris, for comparison's sake, has not managed more than two in a row) and is slowly building up a gap on the percentage side of things.
Racing Point
TMW race winner: Perez (100%)
Perez 15 - 3 Stroll
Perez 68% - 32% Stroll
One of the more lopsided TMW votes is the one at Racing Point where, after condemning Lance Stroll to a second 0-vote race in three outings, Sergio Perez now has a very impressive 15-3 lead for the year. Considering he's not registered a vote in 5 races across the year, and has only 3 TMW wins to his name for the year, Lance Stroll's 32% of the vote seems higher than you would expect.
Alfa Romeo
TMW race winner: Raikkonen (83%)
Raikkonen 15 - 3 Giovinazzi
Raikkonen 83% - 17% Giovinazzi
Like Sergio Perez, Kimi Raikkonen is another driver who scored his 15th TMW win of the year in Mexico. Unlike Perez's teammate, Lance Stroll, Antonio Giovinazzi does not have a share of the vote that seems higher than you would expect.
Toro Rosso
TMW race winner: Gasly (55%)
Gasly 3 - 3 Kvyat
Gasly 45% - 55% Kvyat
You wait all season for a Pierre Gasly TMW, then three come along in four races. It's now 3-3 in the second Toro Rosso TMW battle of the year, which ironically seems to be even closer than the Kvyat/Albon one was. Kvyat still heads the percentage vote and so, if it did finish tied, would currently win this one because of that.
Williams
TMW race winner: Russell (64%)
Russell 16 - 2 Kubica
Russell 85% - 15% Kubica
Only 64% of the vote for Russell in Mexico. He's still one TMW win ahead of both Perez and Raikkonen, however Kubica's eaten into his percentage lead a little and could yet mean Russell doesn't end 2019 with the highest percentage of the vote of the TMWs that ran for the whole season.
TMW winners so far:
Max Verstappen over Pierre Gasly (12-0, 97%)
Daniil Kvyat over Alex Albon (6-6, 57%)
Kimi Raikkonen over Antonio Giovinazzi
George Russell over Robert Kubica
Lewis Hamilton over Valtteri Bottas
Sergio Perez over Lance Stroll
Daniel Ricciardo over Nico Hulkenberg
Kevin Magnussen over Romain Grosjean
Carlos Sainz over Lando Norris
Sebastian Vettel over Charles Leclerc
