Checo finishes in P10 as Kvyat gets a 5 second penalty for clashing into him on last lap.

If I did not miss any specific problems, Stroll and Giovinazzi were massively underperforming.

Stroll apparently had some damage I heard the Comms say.

Valtteri, Lewis, Ricciardo for me. Honorable mention to Lando Norris.

Edit: Max also deserves an honorable mention.

I think all of the top 3 drove well.

In hindsight, having learned that Max even had a hole of sorts in his floor which compromised his balance substantially, he did a very fine job. I'm guessing he could have competed for the win without the damage and really pushed Valtteri.

yes, Norris drove well. I also would have selected him, but Ricciardo was better in a car that is probably not quite as good. Norris was really close, it is his first year in F1, and Ricciardo 'on song' is probably an unfair yardstick.... a great drive anyway!

Ricciardo was the standout for me, beating the faster McLarens by driver difference alone.

Bottas and Verstappen, Bottas had the perfect weekend whilst Verstappen took the fight to the Mercs.

Agreed. He conserved his tyres better in the first stint and was on a slower strategy too compared with Norris.

It's very easy to miss out on Perez's 10th place achievement. Throughout the race, he kept overtaking cars & made a 1 stop strategy work. The Racing Point car is surely behind McLaren & Renault (& Toro Rosso arguably) when it comes to overall car performance but still made the most places from starting position (10). I'm sure had he started on the normal grid & close to 10th, he would've scored better as his race pace was quite awesome.

Although it is DOTD and not weekend, I think him disobeying the rules and getting a penalty may possibly have put some off voting. As with the pace he had (which was impressive) it won't have been that difficult to make up a lot of those places he did. I think that had he started in a normal position, he would ahve finished higher, but I'm not sure his race will have looked quite as impressive. Midfield and top cars all to often look better just because they start at the back.

I think perez was very quick, but it wasn't an outstanding weekend on the whole. But I do know that the point of this thread is maximising it on race day which I think he did.
