Have to wonder why the Williams can't get out of their own way with a Mercedes P/U.

Ferrari’s secret is probably in the ERS deployment. The high altitude doesn’t seem to affect their power at all unlike last year when oil burning was an issue.
Do they not also provide the same ERS to the other teams though? I thought it was in the regs that they had to have all the same gear nd mappings

I have been wondering the same. It’s obvious the Ferrari customers are not seeing the same benefit as the works team. While the hardware might be the same I suspect the engine modes available aren’t the same.
Yikes. Nasty looking crash there from Valteri. Should be an interesting race tomorrow. I think Max will have a very hard time keeping the lead at the start with the Ferraris right there.

Carnage into turn one with that front row
(I say this often and nothing ever happens)
I think you'll be right this time. Someone up front is going to have a miserable lap 1 tomorrow (if not multiple people).
Erm, how does Max get away with that.
Everyone backed off and Max comes steaming through with Bottas sat in the barriers.
I thought after Nico did a similar thing you had to visibly slow down under double yellows?

Because he is the golden child, and stewards have no cojones, how do you go purple under double yellows and get away with it - this should be a penalty not just deleted lap for such blatent disregard for flags
i still think bottas's pace has looked better overall than the last 2 seasons, but this is now his 3rd crash in qualifying or the race that he has wrecked his car. He never did this once in qualifying or the race during his 4 years at Williams. I wonder why he seems to have done it a bit more recently?

yea i thought their reaction time to get them out was pathetic. They should be observent enough to do it in a second or two. i think a fw cars past bottas before they were out. Not good...

I understand Masi is so angry about it he has asked Horner's permission to go down to the RB garage to wave the black & white at Max. As long as it's not going to upset Max that is.
Yeah looks like waved yellows but no yellows on the track board which is weird. Silly mistake from Max as he was already on pole and he should get some sort of penalty
