Vettel jump start and leclerc damage, oh dear Ferrari drivers up to their tricks from earlier this season... And then wtf are the stewards doing, very very dangerous to let him continue that wing could have hit Hamilton in the head, very fortunate it only took his mirror off
Re: 2019 Japanese Grand Prix Race Thread
How that isn't a slam dunk penalty for Leclerc I do not know.
And surely a penalty for Vettel. Exactly the same as Kimi in Russia.

Seb must be getting a drive through if they keep things consistent. Kimi Raikkonen got one for his false start.

Surely slam dunk penalties for both Ferrari’s? Can’t remember a 1-2 start being messed up this bad by turn 1

Re: 2019 Japanese Grand Prix Race Thread
The stewards need to sharpen up. It shouldn't take this long to give Vettel a slam dunk penalty.
Re: 2019 Japanese Grand Prix Race Thread
Stewards waiting long enough so Vettel can come out before most of the traffic :FormulaFun wrote:Drive through I believelucifers wrote:what penalty did kimi get for a falst startFormulaFun wrote:Vettel jump start and leclerc damage, oh dear Ferrari drivers up to their tricks from earlier this season... so no penalty for vettel
Re: 2019 Japanese Grand Prix Race Thread
That is ludicrous. If I was Kimi I would be spitting tacks.
Re: 2019 Japanese Grand Prix Race Thread
Vettel got away with it. Lucky chap

What the actual...
How was what Vettel did any different to what Kimi did?

Pretty daft to assume I'm talking about contact between him and Verstappen in a bog standard racing incident, but yes that was more on Leclerc.
He drives around with damage and ends up disintegrating his car into the path of Hamilton. It was dangerous and stupid.

Word from this end is that Vettel did not leave his grid box before he stopped again. Just speculation from commentary here...

Re: 2019 Japanese Grand Prix Race Thread
And still not decision on Leclerc. I don't know why but for some reasons the stewards are desperate not to penalise Ferrari.

Interesting new tyre deg graphics. No idea how accurate they are though.
Vettel is on the 2-stopper.
