Changed gearbox but I believe they use separate practice gearboxes on Friday's so no penalty.

Ferrari are nowhere They just don't have any downforce compared to RB and Merc do they?
Looks like pole will be between Max and Lewis. Noone else is close at the moment.
Albon's post Friday practice interview quotes him as saying he is aiming for 2nd row in qualifying tomorrow,so i guess failure for him is being outside top 4.

Final practice, feels like Hamilton, Bottas, Verstappen, Leclerc to me for the grid, Mercedes seem to be toying with the opposition.

So maybe Ferrari's compromised laps yesterday hid some pace.

I'm really surprised by the speed of the Ferrari and what's happened to Red Bull?

Merc doing Q1 on the medium, everyone else on softs. Still P3/4... bodes well for Mercedes.

Did I hear rightly from Crofty that the delta between soft and medium is around 1.2 seconds?

Its what he said, that doesn't seem to be playing out on track though unless Mercedes were taking it easy on the softs.

Bottas has found some pace. He's been fairly anonymous since hitting the wall in FP1.

Mercedes did a second run in Q1 and hence used an extra set of softs. Wondering if that lap was on used softs?

What just happened there, poor track position for the Mercs?

If so they need to get out earlier, but having said that what a turn around I expected the Ferraris and Mercs to be the other way around.

Hamilton made a pretty sizeable error. Guessing the slow out lap didn't help them.

Well *inaudible* me. That could be one of the most impressive mid season aero updates I've seen in any team for many years.

As for Charles, well, he's really looking bloody good.

Wow Leclerc wow, great lap from Hamilton as well.

Ferrari have clearly found something, they were not supposed to be fast here.

That is one hell of an upgrade for Ferrari. We might have a brilliant last 7 races.

Phenomenal from Leclerc!

Bottas does seem very quick this time, but makes a mistake in the middle of the lap which likely will have cost him a position to verstappen at least.

Oh Leclerc... what a lap!

I don't think anyone expected a Ferrari to take pole here, that was something else...

I really hope Leclerc can convert this to a win tomorrow and join the club with Damon and Mika
