This is going to look bad for Bottas.But really, the bad thing was his start. I can't see how he was at fault at all for his front wing damage. That from leclerc looked way too aggressive. I think they have almost become a bit to slack on penalties. Leclerc's move didnt just have a small impact on Bottas.

bottas hasn’t done well on this track in the past.

Yeah that wasn't his fault. The two lock ups put him in danger.

So they dont want to win the race? They have 2nd guaranteed and you cant overtake on track, take a risk.

Why would he pit now?! He wasn't losing much time to Verstappen and could have overtaken him on softs later.

No I agree. I think they stuffed up. I'm just saying for the vast majority of their time in the sport, they've never really had to take a risk & thinking back, and I think even Wolff said this recently, strategy seems to be their Achilles heel.

This track like a few need some adjustments. Hamilton was so much quicker and it took a back marker and mistake to give him a chance.

Why not get him in with 20 - 25 to go, throw on a set of meds, turn the wick up & tell him to go for it?
