The whole thing is a perpetual fraud. Storey selling himself the 'exclusive distribution rights' and then dumping what's left of his company with 'unlicensed insolvency practitioners' (very illegal) in an attempt to evade his creditors whilst still being allowed to be a company director is going to land him in some extremely hot water sooner rather than later. The Lightning Volt fork that has sprung up is also based in fantasy. Haas have also not had any of their payments past the first one, and now join Whyte's in the queue for a fair old slice of cash (the full amount for the total sponsorship, after Storey broke the agreement) that he is trying to avoid by flushing RE with the UIP.

It's an utter madness, right up there with the Andrea Moda fiasco.

That article mentions that prior to the Haas announcement, there were rumours that Rich Energy were possibly going to team up with Williams.

I'm sooooo glad that didn't happen. They have enough troubles as it is! :(

Even if they did end up with a mobile phone company that nobody has ever heard of

Does this mean a livery change? And can they even do that mid-season? The black and gold colours on the Haas are inextricably linked to Rich Energy, whether they like it or not.

Yes, with approval from the rest of the grid. Last time it was done was, I believe, Honda in 2006.

It'll be interesting to see the livery of the car next week, Im pleased Williams didn't sign with them though or they'd be in trouble...

They should ditch the gold and make the fin Red as well as the wings or anywhere the Gold RE Branding resides.

Yeah, they're just giving Rich Energy free advertising now. I still look at that car and think of Rich Energy (sadly).

Me too, and it's so simple to change.

yes they should.
interestingly enough though, i like the simple "paint job" without all the sponsors all the cars have on them these days. clean looking

Me too, but a proper creative & graphic design team can design a livery to accommodate sponsor logos or place them strategically so the livery remains looking clean.
And as crappy as the Haas logo is, it works well on the side of the car like this.
