From a car perspective it will look a lot different. On TV it gives me a headache.Junglist wrote:Someone on reddit went through the trouble of editing lots of pictures to get rid of the blue/red run offs and replace it with grass and gravel traps. Looks so much better.
God knows how the drivers don't get distracted and take a wrong turn! (though I guess that's why they're paid the big bucks and I'm just a fan)
It's actually still pretty confusing onboard, at least in the F1 games... Particularly the chicane on the back straight is hard to spot correctly.Badgeronimous wrote:From a car perspective it will look a lot different. I was curious and it was buried quite deep, so here is the link for anyone interested:Junglist wrote:Someone on reddit went through the trouble of editing lots of pictures to get rid of the blue/red run offs and replace it with grass and gravel traps. Looks so much better.

It looks generic now. In the real pictures, you can instantly name what track it is. In the altered photos, it could be anywhere.Alienturnedhuman wrote:I was curious and it was buried quite deep, so here is the link for anyone interested:Junglist wrote:Someone on reddit went through the trouble of editing lots of pictures to get rid of the blue/red run offs and replace it with grass and gravel traps. My immediate reaction was, "look Nurbugring".Exediron wrote:It looks generic now. In the real pictures, you can instantly name what track it is. A year later, much of that original blue colouring had already faded. I never understood why the track shortcut was introduced. Elio's accident wasn't influenced by the track lay-out.Lt. BTW, they have put the blue color in 1986, in a bid to create a new profile of the track which got associated with the death of Elio de Angelis who dies there in the test, may 14/15.
Typical knee jerk reaction. Another example, Terlamenbocht in Zolder absolutely had nothing to do with the tragedy of Gilles Villeneuve, but they added chicane to it, more like some monument to the tragedy. I am glad that they did not change Suzuka after Bianchi's fatal accident.Fiki wrote:A year later, much of that original blue colouring had already faded. Silly you ! The new one is nearer to the ground and so should be more efficient.Option or Prime wrote:Yep, anyone can see that that is going to make a huge difference........UnlikeUday wrote:New front wing of Racing Point. The upgraded one is at the bottom.

The British get all misty eyed whenever they get a chance to drone on and on about following the rules...Lojik wrote:For the love of god will the Sky team please STFU about that damned Canada penalty. If it will shut everyone up then give Vettel the win back, I am so bored of this rubbish.
Oh yes please....we love rules.TheBlackFlag wrote:The British get all misty eyed whenever they get a chance to drone on and on about following the rules...Lojik wrote:For the love of god will the Sky team please STFU about that damned Canada penalty. It's not like they are actually following the rules though?TheBlackFlag wrote:The British get all misty eyed whenever they get a chance to drone on and on about following the rules...Lojik wrote:For the love of god will the Sky team please STFU about that damned Canada penalty. The coverage is starting to become more like white noise to me.Lojik wrote:For the love of god will the Sky team please STFU about that damned Canada penalty. If it will shut everyone up then give Vettel the win back, I am so bored of this rubbish.
Well according to the FIA's ruling everyone on the sky sports team got the call wrong. Now they have to backtrack and explain themselves.Lojik wrote:For the love of god will the Sky team please STFU about that damned Canada penalty. You could post that every five minutes whilst Sky is broadcasting and it would be relevant for that particular occasion.Mort Canard wrote:Well according to the FIA's ruling everyone on the sky sports team got the call wrong. They have had two weeks to come with excuses and rationalizations.
Yeah I switched to Sky this year because I have "free" sky with my current ISP so it was only a tenner a month to get the F1 channel (overall cost still about £30 cheaper than my previous Virgin deal with no movies or sports! )shoot999 wrote:You could post that every five minutes whilst Sky is broadcasting and it would be relevant for that particular occasion.Mort Canard wrote:Well according to the FIA's ruling everyone on the sky sports team got the call wrong. I agree about Brundle, I need to start looking out for C4 for when they cover the races.SteveW wrote:Yeah I switched to Sky this year because I have "free" sky with my current ISP so it was only a tenner a month to get the F1 channel (overall cost still about £30 cheaper than my previous Virgin deal with no movies or sports! )shoot999 wrote:You could post that every five minutes whilst Sky is broadcasting and it would be relevant for that particular occasion.Mort Canard wrote:Well according to the FIA's ruling everyone on the sky sports team got the call wrong. They really are not a patch on Channel 4, I honestly think even Martin Brundle has lost his way a bit.....

Certainly replace Croft with Buxton or Bob Varsha. I still like Brundle but wouldn't mind trying out Coulthard as a replacement for Johnny Herbert, De Resta, or Chandok.sandman1347 wrote:I think Sky should replace Croft with Buxton and Brundle with Coulthard. Just my 2 cents.
I used to like Brundle a lot, but he has slowly been disappearing up his own backside for a few years now. Croft is just a total buffoon who should have been left commentating on darts.Mort Canard wrote:Certainly replace Croft with Buxton or Bob Varsha.
