I'm also busy, so quick votes. I think they're all pretty obvious anyway this time: Hamilton, Vettel, Max, Ricciardo, Magnussen, Sainz, Perez, Kimi, Kvyat, Russel.

I also think they are all obvious other than Grosjean and Magnussen. it has to be said Grosjean was prevented getting through to Q3 by Gasly. And he didn't do a bad job at all at climbing his way up the order even if strategy did help him. Strategy did not help Magnussen, but It is a bit difficult to say who was better. I think it could quite easily be one or the other. Grosjean looked like he certainly would have qualified much higher if not for Gasly and he did do a very good job in the race, even with a small penalty for crossing a line. I think I'd go for the same as you but just going for Grosjean instead of Magnussen.

What do you think Grosjean did better than Magnussen?

From this season's results so far you'd be forgiven from thinking I'd made that mistake at every race

Grosjean did a really impressive first stint and did 50 laps on the softest tyres. If Grosjean managed that, I don't know why hamilton was moaning so much about doing 68 laps on a harder compound. Grosjean being behind other drivers would have found it just as hard IMO. But he looked after them and made up for his qualifying result which was not his fault. Magnussen may have been excellent in qualifying, but was losing 9 positions really all down to strategy? Probably would have been 10 if Leclerc didn't end his race. I'm really not sure. I don't think Magnussen did a bad job. I just thought Grosjean's first stint and recovery was very good, enough for him to deserve this vote over Magnussen. Even Hulkenberg who got a puncture at the start still managed to beat Magnussen.

That's because he had Max behind him. Hamilton had to push at certain sections of the track such as tunnel, main straight etc. to prevent Max from getting a slipstream.

In Monaco you get on the power a car length before the car behind, at no point was Hamilton pushing during that duel, midfield cars were lapping faster.

Yeah last year Ricciardo had a stricken car that was 150hp down which also affected his braking ability yet it was still impossible to pass him without risking a race ending crash.

Hamilton wasn't pushing at all. His rear tyres were still in fairly good condition so he was getting reasonable drive out of the corners & the characteristics of Monaco meant that gave him enough of a buffer to ease into the next corner. He was simply nursing the car home & placing it in the right spots at the right time. If Verstappen wanted to pass then it was Verstappen who had to force the move.
