It does look like Vettel is losing ground. Possibly due to the flat spot but whatever the reason Max is getting away from them. Would make sense for Vettel to move overpokerman wrote:If the roles were reversed Leclerc would have to move out of the way.

It's strange. I'm not a Vettel fan, but he was always very fast in terms of race pace and qualy. He doesn't look impressive at all this year.Zoue wrote:Vettel dropping back from Max quite quickly. What has happened to his race pace this year?

Leclerc has dropped him very quickly. Fastest in S1 where Vettel dominated yesterday, so I'm inclined to think that flat spot is wrecking Vettel's afternoon

It's noticeable when Hamilton is in front how he's able to gap Bottas which you don't see when it's the other way around

Bottas needs to be able to smell Hamilton's bumper consistently if he wants to travel. i think it is more that Hamilton has found what he is missing and is now very comfortable indeed compared to qualifying. I don't think it is that Boittas is nowhere at all.
