It does look like Vettel is losing ground. Possibly due to the flat spot but whatever the reason Max is getting away from them. Would make sense for Vettel to move over

It's strange. I'm not a Vettel fan, but he was always very fast in terms of race pace and qualy. He doesn't look impressive at all this year.
Or Ferrari its not that good and Leclerc is extremely fast.

Leclerc has dropped him very quickly. Fastest in S1 where Vettel dominated yesterday, so I'm inclined to think that flat spot is wrecking Vettel's afternoon

Vettel should just pit now. Ferrari have nothing to lose on Vettel's care now.

I agree but Ferrari always leave it too long, why make 2 cars pace suffer from a flat spot.

Yes he's just losing time and falling into Gasly's clutches. Much longer and he'll be open to an undercut

Have to agree Z, so you wonder why Vettel seeing Max getting smaller and smaller didn't take the pressure off the pit wall and let him by.

It's noticeable when Hamilton is in front how he's able to gap Bottas which you don't see when it's the other way around

Bottas needs to be able to smell Hamilton's bumper consistently if he wants to travel. Repeated races like last time are such huge pressure, Bottas is bound to crack on a few occasions.

Yeah...the race pace difference is huge. He is destroying Bottas in the final sector virtually every lap.

i think it is more that Hamilton has found what he is missing and is now very comfortable indeed compared to qualifying. I don't think it is that Boittas is nowhere at all. Wasn't this what we expected coming to spain with Hamilton?

A mimor irritation on the graphics. When they show on the left hand side 'the battle for X'.

It means you can't see how far behind one driver is from the one in front. Frustrates me.

I was thinking exactly the same thing. The one battle they are highlighting is the one battle they aren't showing the crucial information for!
