These cars are even more draggy than last year, P2 or P3 is better than pole here

The start tomorrow should be interesting with the run up to T4. Will be interesting to see how qualifying performance translates to the race.

Bahrain, due to the track configuration or track temp etc, has a way of tighting up the field very close in qualifying.
Ferrari will leave everyone in dust tomorrow.

Should be exciting as tyre wear/compatibility will probably play the major role in victory as Ferrari/Mercedes are very close. I wouldn't even rule out Verstappen or Magnusson to spring a surprise over the whole distance. Odds though are on LeClerc to start a winning streak.

Looking forward to the race tomorrow. Bahrain almost always throws up a good race (forgetting 2010!) and the field is looking good with McLaren performing better and Hulk out of position.

Also, it's nothing but my personal dislike of Vettel, but I really want to see LeClerc keep himself ahead tomorrow and get his first win!

Best race strategy options as per Pirelli:

Quickest:
Start on medium for 20 laps, then finish race on hard.
(But as nobody in the top 10 of the grid will be starting on medium), the second-quickest strategy:
Start on the soft for 15 laps, then hard to the end.

The best two-stopper:
Start on the soft tyre for 15 laps, then medium for 21 laps, then another set of mediums to the end.

Slowest:
Start on soft for 22 laps, then medium to the end.

I haven't been this excited in quite some time. I have to work today when the race is on, but I'm going to tape it and sequester myself away from the news until I can watch it. I'm so excited for Leclerc.

I think some in the top 10 will still go for the one stopper. Imo it makes them very vulnerable because others will go for more agressive strategies. There is no way this will be a boring race.

That looks like Mercedes have saved the wrong tyres then?

I think Mercedes have been pretty good with their tyre strategies over the years. I shouldn't write them off just yet

No doubt Leclerc did a fabulous job by qualifying 1st, Norris too is doing quite well. Glad to see McLaren make progress but Norris is for keeps in F1.

The moment the cars will be heading into Turns 1 & 4 will be nail biting. Very easy for collisions to take place but hope so all make it through turn4. This race is usually good with overtakes so drivers should be patient on the 1st lap.

Should be a good race, especially in the midfield, would be nice to see Leclerc get his first win but I have a feeling Vettel will take the lead into T4 with the tow and win from there.

Brundl's grid walks are just dreadful. Bumping into whoever and asking whatever comes to his head. Pointless bit of coverage IMO. Channel 4 did this far better last year. DC and Webber are much better at it.

I hope Leclerc and Vettel are allowed fight for this. Anything close to a Bahrain 2014 would make me a very happy F1 fan. That's a lot to ask of Ferrari though :?
