Well it's better looking than their previous liveries in my opinion, I'm still sceptical about Rich Energy though.

Looks nice in a showroom, I imagine it will be quite boring when on a dark grey racetrack after the initial novelty wears off personally, but we will see.

I think it looks quite nice. I'm sceptical about them but I guess they must have the capital if they've got Haas on board. I've seen them on the boxer Genady Golovkin before as well.

When Max is in front of the stewards for cutting them up he will be able to say I didn't seen him coming, he just merged with the track!

Dark background to help conceal the car's aerodynamic bits!

Why do you put so much weight on the sponsorship? I do not think people support Ferrari because of Mission Minnow, nor Mercedes because of Petronas.

Fair enough. I'm asking as I do not think that the sponsor would put me off my favourite team, unless it was something I truly resented I guess. But until we see a "Kim Jong Un McLaren" or "Trump Ferrari" I think I'll be fine!

Nope. This is last year’s car, so they’re not trying to hide anything.
The more likely reason is to keep from contaminating the black with another color. We did this with Canon’s printers because shooting glossy black on anything but black or gray requires color correction to adjust the blacks to where they need to be in order to represent the product correctly.

I love black cars and I think this looks good, but the design is rather lazy. The way they laid out the strip at the nose is boring. So much more could have been done here. But F1 teams generally tend to suck at designing beautiful liveries these days.

I feel like this as well, I'm finding it difficult to consider Rich Energy to be a legitimate company until I actually see a physical can of the stuff somewhere, either on a shop shelf or being drunk by someone. By extension therefore I'd find it more difficult to support a team that has associated itself so closely to an organisation that in my eyes more resembles a criminal enterprise than a properly functioning business.

Funny... Whenever someone brings up the question of best liveries in F1 historically, the JPS Lotus cars are nearly always at the top of the discussions. Now it is black with gold will be hard to see against a grey background and it is boring? What has changed? I
;)

It's not boring, it's just that it could be better. It's basically a black car with some golden accents, just like - indeed - the JPS livery of old was. More gold accents would make the car more visually interesting for me.

I personally find the old JPS livery quite boring too.

The front wing was new, the car wasn't.

I like the livery, and expect some tweaking once they see how it looks in daylight and on the telly.

They could have taken their inspiration from the Walter Wolf car (which was more graphic than the JPS Lotus).

If this car is 2018 car, how come there are reports pointing out to double exhaust present on this car which will be present on this year's Ferrari as well.

The car shown was the 2018 car with 2019 front wing. The renders tweeted were a 2019 car.

for me, this guy "rich energy" has nothing to do with jps, neither does haas. it's certainly not that haas has had an awesome livery in the past, but this livery, and the "rich energy" dude just strikes me the wrong way again today. which i realize, means absolutely nothing to anyone but me lol.
anyhow, i do hope haas can be in the the battle for 4th or 5th again this season

So the pictures posted on here by OP are renderings of the 2019 car. The car that launched in London was the 2018 with the new livery, which we have no pictures of in this thread. Ok. I was getting it confused here for a sec.

Interesting video breaking down the car. I really do like the new front wings. Also it looks like this car will benefit from adopting several elements of Ferrari's design philosophy. I'm interested to see whether we actually do find that there is a significant impact on overtaking with these regs.
