He's 26
He's 24. Born in April 1994.
My mistake. Well he'll be too old in April then lol.
Sainz will also be too old before the end of this season. Still think Kvyat should be on this list given what this poll is.
I don't want to have to restart the voting. It is interesting that exactly half of the drivers on the grid are under the age of 25. If I'm not mistaken; in Senna's rookie year, he was the only driver on the grid under 25 years of age. My how times have changed.

Leclerc - I have high hopes for this season, especially against Vettel. I'll probably be more intrigued in this battle than the actual WDC
Gasly - I hope he can ruffle MV's feathers early doors, although he's most likely already been told by Marko that he's a No. 2
Ocon - Never really warmed to the guy. Got tangled up too many times with Perez and always seemed to have a smirk on his face
Russell - A good team to make your F1 debut with. No pressure, an experienced team mate (although he should easily beat Kubica) and doesn't really matter if you're on the back row. Just here to learn
Norris - Can't really rate. Will wait until the first few races
Sainz - Underachieved in my opinion. Doesn't look like a good career move by replacing Alonso at McLaren
Albon - Same as Norris
Stroll - A likeable guy but can't shake off 'daddy's money' tag. Hope he does well with RP so some of the negativity can go
But who's your favourite?
Leclerc - a likeable guy who's going up against a 4xWDC in a car expected to fight for the title, so I'll be glued from FP1 in Melbourne.
Fair enough, I expect Vettel to come out on top because I see chinks in Leclerc but it will be interesting to see just how quick Leclerc is.
What do you consider as is chinks? I think his wet weather racing really. What else would you consider as a chink?
In respect to being a WDC inopportune weather could derail him, Vettel is seen as a decent wet weather driver but it was part of the reason why his season fell apart, Ericsson looked better in the wet than Leclerc.

Ricciardo was weaker in the wet, and he beat Vettel pretty handily. It certainly can make a difference, but only in a very close season/fight.

What really derailed Vettel's season wasn't being beaten in the wet, it was his reaction to being beaten in the wet. I have every reason to believe that Leclerc is already mentally stronger than Vettel, and I doubt the same thing would happen to him.

Well struggling to drive in the wet is a significant weakness, isn't it? I wonder how much of that is really his driving though. I seem to rememeber him delivering some impressive wet weather performances in GP3. Time will tell but he certainly doesn't look like a rain man in F1 so far.
GP3 actually made me ask questions about him, he was leading a race then it started to rain and everyone started to pass him until he eventually crashed having at that point dropped to about 11th place, it's the same kind of conditions that we saw in the German GP, dry tyres on a wet track.

That's something I looked out for in F2 but to be fair he looked quite decent, nominally that was wet tyres on a wet track but last year in such conditions it was noticeable how much closer the performance gap was to Ericsson, and Ericsson's reputation I would say was similar to Grosjean, when it's wet you would lay odds on either Ericsson or Grosjean bringing out a SC.

When ever the track was wet Vettel was in front, it's the only area were Vettel was better.

You may have a point about Vettel's mental strength, in the wake of crashing in Germany it was said it impacted on him in the wet Hungarian qualifying, he looked tentative in respect to Kimi and that's why Kimi was quicker.

I agree about Leclerc being mentally strong, can he maintain that in the Ferrari cauldron, the most pressurised drive in F1?

All true. I'd say the jury is out but this year we will find out for certain whether this is a legitimate weakness for Charles.

I'm already a fan of Leclerc, Ocon, Gasly and Sainz.
Haven't seen much of the rookies so far though I thought Giovinazzi was promising in his few outings in 2017.
Alex Albon has picked my racing number of #23. I don't know if that means he's now one of my favourites or I have to dislike him for meaning I can't take 23 in video games!

Ok, that's why I was wondering. Apart from the wet weather I can not find another chink. The plural probably threw me off!

Of course it is, as explained above, poker used plural, so I was wondering what else he considered as a chink, that's all.

Fair enough I just didn't give enough thought to how I worded it.
