Verstappen got Vettled.

Actually in fairness I think it was a racing incident.

Actual safety car is needed when they want to bunch up the pack so marshals have time to clear debris on the track itself. VSC doesn't do that.

Did you mean Max's penalty or did I miss something?
Yes. Max causes an accident and is allowed to stay in the race instead of being brought in to serve a penalty, without being able to keep influencing the race of those behind. Which he did in the meantime.

Racing incident? Atleast from the replays it didn't look like Verstappen was the main culprit..

Cars going passed at a pedestrian pace. Shouldn't be a problem for the track to be cleared at the same time.

Oh Seb. That was a desperate man drinking at the last chance saloon.

Charles Leclerc is having to deal with some idiotic driving today.

I don't blame Seb much for that really. He had a chance and he went for it. Coming third to Merc is pointless for him at this stage so he has to take risks.

Max and Vettel can take a lesson or 2 from Ricciado, that is how you overtake!

It is really shocking how poor he's been. That move was so not on. And against VErstappen too, with a 5 sec penalty. There is just so much wrong with that move.

Everyone is over ambitious when they try to overtake Verstappen. But one can always knock themselves blaming everyone else (unless it's the driver they support)

They looked nailed nailed on anyway tbh. Vettel still has a strong chance of 6th and that's without another safety car or reliability issues elsewhere.

Why are they saying Charles is complicit? Everybody is not bouncing off the walls like Max. He did a good job at defending a faster car.

I'm so over DiResta. He "predicts" every possible outcome so he can't be wrong - and then throws in conspiracy theories as a bonus. They do this so we'll miss Martin, I am sure of it.

I'm a bit late with the news. Where's Martin ? Is he ill again...?

On a side note I think Hamilton and Mercedes are aiming for a Grand Chelem here.

That whether Vettel got a penalty was based on what track position Ver rejoined the track after his pitstop. For some reason. It was difficult to follow.

That Vettel's penalty was based on Verstappen's track position relative to Kimi after his pitstop. It was bizarre, tin hat nonsense.

Does Japan still have its own director, why are we watching a Toro Rosso for a full lap? When Vettel is over Perez

Will Ferrari switch Kimi and Vettel? Maybe not even worth it if you weigh the loss (negative press) and gain (2 points when WDC 95% gone).

It's always "Max and.....". Vettel has made a million passes, some of them risky, some of them Alonso (if you know what I mean) and no wrecks. It is not the drivers around him that need the lesson. It is max. I know it is Kimi and Seb today, but that does not turn it into a 2 driver issue.

I won't be surprised if we see yet another incident if he catches Bottas.

The revisionists will be out in force come the end of the season. "The SF71H wasn't a genuine title contender." "Mercedes had the strongest package over the season." "Vettel drove well to finish 2nd in the WDC against dominant Mercedes."
