The German TMW vote result is as follows:

Image

It's taken eleven races and over half the season, but we've finally had our first draw! Both Force India drivers registered 15 votes and therefore share the TMW spoils.

Hamilton 8-3 Bottas (61/39)
Vettel 7-4 Raikkonen (58/42)
Ricciardo 5-6 Verstappen (53/47)
Perez 4-6 Ocon (50/50)
Stroll 7-4 Sirotkin (64/36)
Hulkenberg 7-4 Sainz (62/38)
Gasly 7-4 Hartley (65/35)
Magnussen 8-3 Grosjean (75/25)
Alonso 10-1 Vandoorne (92/8)
Ericsson 4-7 Leclerc (34/66)

- Hamilton extends his advantage over Bottas with his fourth successive TMW win and the sixth in the last seven races.
- Kimi makes it three TMW wins in four races and has reduced the deficit from 6-1 down to 7-4. Maybe Ferrari should keep his future up in the air...
- Max Verstappen claims his fifth TMW win in a row, which now represents the longest active winning streak. It also means he now leads Ricciardo (at least in terms of wins, if not votes) for the first time in 2018.
- Perez/Ocon, as mentioned, become the first TMW draw of 2018. It keeps their incredibly competitive score, well, incredibly competitive!
- This was a good race for the underperforming drivers from the midfield teams (and Williams). The first of those was Sirotkin, whose fourth TMW win of the season is also his fourth in the last six races. At least in the eyes of the TMW voters, he is now starting to swing the vote back towards himself after a rough start to 2018.
- As has been the case in 2018, the momentum continues to swing between the two Renault drivers. Hulkenberg opened the season with three TMW wins in a row, followed by two for Sainz, two for Hulk, two more for Sainz and now another two for Hulk.
- Like Sirotkin, it was TMW victory number four of the season for Brendon Hartley.
- Another driver who hasn't had a good 2018 is Romain Grosjean, but this was a better race for him with the Frenchman picking up TMW victory three in 2018.
- At McLaren... the trend of underperforming drivers picking up a TMW vote didn't continue. 10-1 to Alonso. Ouch.
- But that trend did continue at Sauber as Marcus Ericsson scores a first TMW vote since the third race of the season, putting an end to Charles Leclerc's streak of victories at seven races. It means Leclerc has to make do with tying the season high in that regard, something he and Alonso now share.

I've put together a list below that shows what percentage of each team's WCC points the highest scoring driver has, compared with what percentage of the TMW vote they've received so far.

It's actually a little surprising how closely they compare. The only two teams that aren't within a 7% margin are Toro Rosso and Williams, and with Williams that's heavily influenced by the fact they've only had a single points finish all season.

Hamilton has 61% of Mercedes' points (61% of the TMW vote)
Vettel has 56% of Ferrari's points (58% of the TMW vote)
Ricciardo has 53% of Red Bull's points (53% of the TMW vote)
Perez has 51% of Force India's points (50% of the TMW vote)
Stroll has 100% of Williams' points (64% of the TMW vote)
Hulkenberg has 63% of Renault's points (62% of the TMW vote)
Gasly has 93% of Toro Rosso's points (65% of the TMW vote)
Magnussen has 68% of Haas' points (75% of the TMW vote)
Alonso has 85% of McLaren's points (92% of the TMW vote)
Leclerc has 72% of Sauber's points (66% of the TMW vote)

That's interesting how it's all tying together, generally speaking this is an excellent thread and gives a good insight into how the drivers are performing.

I voted for Leclerc by accident, so please change my vote! I had mixed up the qualifying performances in my head. Since Leclerc didn't really compete in the race, that's all there is to go on.

Other than that...

Hamilton over Bottas. It doesn't get much more obvious than that. Brutal.
Raikkonen over Vettel. Quicker in qualifying (though neither one was impressive), and aside from the start looked similar in the race. He was given a bum strategy by Ferrari to draw Bottas away, but still finished right behind Vettel.
Ricciardo over Verstappen. They were both pretty s**t in qualifying, which is something I think a lot of people are going to forget/ignore - Verstappen was over 2 seconds off in Q3, and I don't believe him that the car was slower than a Toro Rosso and a Renault. In the race, Max didn't do anything but I do think Dan was impressive.
Sainz over Hulkenberg. Pretty easy one, since he was better in every area this weekend. Really outstanding in quali from start to finish.
Ocon over Perez. By a pretty slim margin, but clear nonetheless.
Magnussen over Grosjean. Not great in qualifying, but Sunday is when the points are handed out.
Gasly over Hartley. And it's not at all close.
Alonso over Vandoorne. It should have been close, but even if he'd finished poor Stoffel wouldn't have been ahead.
Stroll over Sirotkin. Very impressive in qualifying (considering the car), and in the race both of their lives are a joke anyway.

Either you made a typo, or are a really harsh person.

Well, I did say in the race both of their lives are a joke... it might have been better to say the races are a joke for both of them. It must be pretty soul-crushing to know that no matter how well you drive, your car isn't capable of beating the others, let alone scoring points.

Nothing about the two of them, everything about the hopelessness of their task on Sundays.

For that to know, we would have to witness a good driver competing in a Williams.

Maybe I should've added an emoji of some sort to indicate that I was being a bit tongue in cheek, and not taking a dig at you over your wording.

No doubt that it can be soul crushing to go race after race knowing that it doesn't matter how well you drive you're largely dependent on retirements or mistakes to not end up at the very back of the field. It just seemed harsh saying their lives are a joke due to that. There's much more to life than what happens when you're in your office.

Which is why I said that in the race their lives are a joke. But that's more than enough rehashing of those words, so fair enough.
