tbf, that radio call was quite questionable, with bono giving conflicting messages

? Ferrari's mistake was not letting the driver with fresher tyres past.

I agree it would be silly because Hamilton is their championship challenger, but your reference to Ferrari doesn't make sense.

Maybe Vettel could win the championship if Lewis had to start from the back every time. I think that's why he was so angry, he knows this was his chance to distance himself.

The battle makes for more entertainment and fate owes Bottas a win. But from a championship standpoint, Bottas needs to be a blocker to Kimi and allow Hamilton to win.

I meant that Ferrari should have made Kimi let him by that time not long ago, I can't remember which race it was.

Can you imagine Hamilton getting given that message had Bottas got past? Not a chance in hell he would have complied. Same with Kimi/Vettel earlier in the race.

You'll never be a championship challenger with that attitude.

Well Vettel is driving the car, I don't see how Ferrari have done anything wrong.

He has been superb all race. I know he got lucky with the events in the race, but in the wet on slicks he was by far the fastest guy and he kept it on the track. One of his best wins in the making me thinks.

Reverse positions with Bottas in front and Hamilton behind and Hamilton gets past. Hamilton would have braked that little later or got on the power that little earlier out of the hairpin etc.

Bottas had the faster card w/ 11 laps fresher tyres but his job was not to challenge HAM but to keep Kimi at bay. So simply unparalleled is quite the hyperbole.

Wow! Vintage Lewis these last couple of races. Hard charging and to pull off a win from 14th is no mean fete. One of his best performances all around.

Gutted for Seb. Really he wasn't being careless there. He just got it slightly wrong and was punished mercilessly.

I think Bottas could have been more agressive, it's just that he was afraid of doing anything that could jeopardize Hamiltons race.

what i don't get is why they pitted Bottas and then tell him not to pass Hamilton. Was it a way to allow hamilton through? 'm not saying Hmilton didn't deserve the win, but again, Bottas has to suffer from not being able to try and attempt to pass throughout the rest of the race. At this stage of the championship, I guess it was right to limit what Bottas did. But again, given he had a chance to win before he pitted, I'm unsure the reason why things went the way they did. Unlucky again.
