If Hamilton genuinely thinks he can't make it to the end pitting earlier gives him an opportunity to attack slower cars on fresh tyres and puts him in a good position if the top 4 can't make it too the end.

Lewis best chance would've been to get those supersofts instead of the ultras.

Does Hamilton have an issue? His times are all over the place and he's in clean air isn't he? More than half a second a lap variance

Dan's tyres are looking better than Vettels, at least he has that going for him.

Yeah, Hamilton has never pressured the team into an unnecessary stop at Monaco before...

Mercedes won't let Hamilton pit surely. They have to tell him that it's unlikely he'll be passed on track.

I think Dan has got this if his power stays at this level. Team says that what he is doing seems to be working.

At least he has to wait and see what others are intending to do.

Vettel really struggling with the front left it seems. He's losing half a second in Rascasse alone.

I just hope Vettel doesn't try anything stupid at the end if he's very close.

I don't think he will. He'll know that the 18 points is better than 0 and there are still 15 races to go after this.

I would normally be with you, as it would help Lewis but I would just hate for Dan to be taken out in this race. Anyway, I prefer Lewis wins the WDC on merit anyway, as we know he should.

Is it 20 seconds to pit? Because Hamilton and Raikkonen are now touch and go to come out ahead of Ocon if so.

Hamilton must just drive slow until the checkered flag and let Riccardo and vettel fight it out for the win if they wish

Like Ocon matters, he will let Hamilton through.

Will he? They were in different races before, they wouldn't be if Hamilton pitted again. It'd be touch and go to come out ahead of Gasly as well.

Merc has missed the window and ham will now come out behind ocon. Problem is now gasly, hulk and ver are all putting in solid laps. To be released into that traffic will be a disaster
