Last year there was a Honda tie in but what is there now?
Would it be a straight pay for car-drive-information as they 'sublet' from another team, or can they buy a chassis complete with aero and engine?
Not an Indy expert here, but I do follow the series.
First off: everyone buys the chassis complete with aero and engine. IndyCar is a single-build series - you pick your engine supplier, and they deliver you an engine to go with your spec chassis, all of which are the same this year (in the last few years your aero kit differed by engine, but not any more).
The work the team does is in setting up the car and adjusting it, and in that regard I know there are technical partnerships between teams already. I would imagine that's the sort of help McLaren would be getting, set up notes and a body of already existing expertise on the chassis setup, tracks, etc.
